I was so pleased when my hairdresser phoned me yesterday to book an appointment for a cut and colour. However, she has been informed by her insurance company that a patch test must be carried out 48 hours before the colour, regardless of how often someone has been before. Apparently there have been reactions from Covid patients, the most extreme, but rare, being anaphalactic shock. This was reported back late 2020. Maybe just query it with your hairdresser. I guess the insurance companies are just being cautious and each company will have different rules. Anyway I get my patch test and colour next week and can't wait.
