Ref boots. Bought Reiker with colourful “collar”. Said go up if half size. Did. Perfect.

Oooooh Spangler. I like the ones in the photo.i don't like the ageing slapper look, but those are a good mix of fashion but plainish too.

Wear what you like, I’ve gone back to maxi skirts for this winter, often wear maxi s in the summer. I like the way they flow and reminds me of the Laura Ashley styles of the 70’s.

I have a pair of knee high biker boots, with zips and buckles from top to bottom. Love them have had them for years. Must get them out for my 74th winter this year. But they are a fashion statement, more than a protection for the weather.

Why not! Wear whatever you like as long as you feel comfortable.

Spangler I have always thought biker boots to be thick soled, laced or buckled up the sides and worn on the outside of trousers. Sure these are biker boots in the picture? I will need to check biker magazines for what is the norm.

Have I caused some ambiguity? The lady in the photo is wearing boots, I googled "Grandmothers in biker boots" I didn't think to check if they were actually biker boots. How remiss of me.

If I had nice little size 4 feet I might be tempted, but on me proper biker boots would look like a pair of mega beetle-crushers.

These are my latest boots, Gabor, really comfy, not sure if they are biker boots!!

Just out of interest I was looking at Dr M bikers on E.bay and the prices were amazing cheap 1/3 of what they originally sell

I’m still wearing over the knee black suede boots with studs up the back! They’re flat-heeled so comfy and make any outfit look great. Bought years ago for too much money at Russell and Bromley. I will continue to wear them for as long as I can walk! Age should never be a barrier for what you wear. It’s how you feel in those clothes and what makes you feel good. So go for those biker boots! ?

Go for it - who cares what anyone else thinks! I love biker boots, but unfortunately the ones I have at the moment are starting to get a bit old and tired (much like their owner!) They are so comfy though. Last year I bought a pair of leopard-print Dr Marten-style boots from Next and I love those too!

Why should you bother what others think? Out of curiosity I Googled: Grandmother in Biker Boots, a plethora of images came up, so I just chose the first. Doesn't she look fabulous?

Are those biker,boots ? They just look like blue suede ankle,boots to me.

I'm 68 and I wear biker boots, go for it. The perks of getting older you no longer care what other people think. I have always had a longing for a pair of Doc Martin's but very expensive.

And check that they are leather and will give ...mine weren' t and they were impissible to wear. Finally sold them on years later.
