Jeans - and when to stop wearing them.

Whatever awful scenario you're imagining - forget it!
Stop worrying about what you'll feel ( nothing!) or what you'll see ( just bright light).
Recovery time quick and painfree.
Result - excellent!

You certainly don’t need to be a size 12 to look fine in jeans, even young women are often a size 14/16 and more, and look fine.There are so many kinds of jeans around now, that shape doesn’t matter.They are very stretchy and forgiving worn with the right shirt or top.

I’m 78 and have never worn jeans. Who wants to wear a uniform? I am slim and would look all right in them, I suppose, but no....

Me too, jeans all the way. Happy Birthday to all who will be 70. I will be in May but I don't feel I should be. How have all the years gone in so quickly!

The thing about jeans is that it’s not just the jeans - if you get the right ones they can be very flattering - but all the different things you can wear with them.
White shirt a la Princess Diana, or big sweater, or t-shirt, or jacket. I’ve been out tonight wearing mine with a black lace top that I’ve had for 25 years
So, far from being a uniform, jeans are actually very versatile and a way of expressing your individuality

Love my jeans! I'm 67 and won't stop wearing them any time soon. The ripped styles and the low rise probably don't look right on us older women but I really like the skinny jeans and the ankle grazer - I am shortish so these suit me. Always look at the rear view as this can give some of us that horrible "nappy bottom" . I swear some people NEVER check their rear view.

I live in denim jeans. I have them in white, cream, dark brown, faded blue, dark blue and black. Straight leg, boot cut and three quarter for summer. They go anywhere. Dress up or down.

I do have some smart trousers, but they don't come out very often. In fact, I think they're the same ones I wore for work 15 years ago. I just don't go to the right occasions now to wear them - apart from funerals.

I've only just started wearing jeans again half a century since my last comfortable pair when I was twelve.

Don’t get that, I am afraid. Individuality can be expressed in many ways and whether you wear trousers, skirts, jeans or twinsets and pearls that is a matter of individual choice - never a uniform. Too many variations for a start!

Love my jeans, I’m rarely seen in anything else, especially in the winter. I think I only possess one skirt (part of the obligatory black suit),but I think even that might be too big. As said previously jeans can be dressed up or be casual. Our standing joke is, am I ready for the elasticated waist beige trousers yet, and the answer is always a resounding No.

I assure you I have never worn elasticated waist beige trousers, even though I have never worn jeans. I wear plain black trousers mostly, occasionally navy.

I know a lot of people like to wear jeans, but why on earth does anyone ever wear jeans with tears or holes deliberately cut into them? I can remember when I first noticed this "fashion" about thirty years ago. What's the point of it?

Lummy; I only asked! I think my problem is I've got such a fat tummy and anything without elastic cuts me in two by midday. So I'm going for pull-ons, leggings (never white!), treggings and trackies! Different things suit different people and it would be very boring if we were all the same. However, I'm not throwing my jeans away yet.....

My MIL is nearly 90 and still wears jeans, all colours, some elasticated, all of them very comfy, often with a shirt or long jumper, always with a pendant necklace and bracelets, good for her I say. Although after her fall and until she gets back on her feet she is wearing normal elasticated trousers, as they are easier for the carers to assist her with. She is longing to get back into her trendy jeans!

I am 66yrs and have no intention of giving up my jeans, I wear them most of the time.

70! mere children. I am 75, still got long legs, still wearing jeans, and intend to wear them to celebrate my 100th birthday, when it comes.

Which jeans do you recommend, people? For a size 18?
