lynnekalan, I too live in Canada. I used to love using perfume, and so initially I resented what I saw as legislation intruding on my personal freedom. However, I am now totally a fan of this ruling. I have been in the theatre when someone came back at interval after washing her hands, and she applied the strongest smelling hand cream. Both myself and someone else a few rows away had to leave our seats, the smell was just too overpowering. Strong smells can really affect a sensitive persons physical and mental health, which is why the ban is strictly applied in hospitals here. Sadly...... I wear perfume at home now. It's for my pleasure.
