Hair straightening brush anyone?

We love our hair, so why not get the best items to take care of it? One of the best tools to have in your hair care arsenal for many of us is a hair straightener. You no longer should have to settle for that simple styled and functioning flat iron. Sure, they got the job done, but they don’t really offer much in benefits. I have compiled a list of the best hair straightener brush. Let me know if you are interested.

I have one of this type, not rotating but shaped like a large hair brush. It works very well and quickly on my wavy hair. I rarely use it unless my hair is particularly scruffy, but was very impressed. The only drawback is that the controls are on the handle and can be accidentally pressed.

shysal you don't need it, after showing us a pic of your lovely wavey hair, just keep it as it is.
I often find that controls on the handle and generally in the way of exactly where your fingers will be is a constant problem!

You are too kind, rosesarered, but the camera lies, my hair is often dull and frizzy despite using various products. Today the streaks are bright red, I quite like the look!

I bought one at lids the other day £12 I've used it a couple of times and it has left my hair nice and smooth my hair is just on my shoulder I don't know how it will work on shorter hair but it was a bargain when I've looked at prices of other makes

tanith With the rotating brush you mentioned, do you partly dry your hair first or do you use the brush when your hair is fairly wet?

I read all the posts with great interest. I have my hair cut in a chin length bob, or rather, did have, until my last visit when my hairdresser decided I needed an update ! Cue, a much shorter bob, and a disgruntled client . I have been with the same hairdresser for over 10 years and beginning to think I need to move somewhere else. Its a very small salon, just him and another girl and I know if I moved that would be it, no going back. He's reasonably priced too, a lot of the posher salons are much pricier , but, back to my question. Would one of these brushes be good for a short bob? Im really struggling to make my hair look good, the only time is when I just wash it. Ive spent a fortune on mousse and serums to give my hair structure and body, watched countless youtube video's and I still cant get it right !! Any advice really appreciated.

I bought the JML one from Wilkinson. I tried it and my daughter tried it. We thought it was rubbish. Just couldn't get on with it at all.

I thought you would be using it like a normal hairbrush, but it was more like using it as straighteners. So we went back to using straighteners which we get lovely results from.

I gave mine to ny daughter's friend, who is a hairdresser. SHE managed it just fine, and I am told she is using it in the salon.

Maybe you still need that professional touch to use these gadgets. Or maybe my daughter and I are just beyond cack-handed. Either way, I thought it was a waste of money.

I use the Babyliss rotating brush too and it's brilliant. Recently I have started to scrunch my wet hair with mousse, then just use the rotating dryer on the fringe and top layer, leaving the layer below. I then scrunch the lower layer again and leave to dry. The result gives the shiny top surface, but takes advantage of the curls underneath. Scrunching with mousse on wet hair helps to look curly rather than frizzy. The look lasts a couple of days, but disappears if it's raining of course !

For bouncy curls with minimum fuss was your hair as usual, brush your conditioner out in the shower flip you head about a bit then wrap your hair in a long sleeved tshirt - lay the tshirt on the bed with the arms down, tip your head into the middle and use the arms to secure it - either sleep in it or do housework etc.. unwrap when dry beautiful bouncy curls! That last until the next wash

I have used a hot brush for years. Just a cheapie one and it's fine. Easy to use and does the job.

Eleothan I let my hair air dry till its just a little damp that seems to work best for me.

Well I'm amazed! I have very straight hair and have always wanted curls or at least wavy hair and have spent a fortune in the past on perms etc. Now I try to coax a few bends by blow drying. Otherwise it just hangs down and I look like annold witch. We arenever satisfied with what we've got!!

My hair is so curly, thick and was jet black until the grey set in but my poor Sister had poker straight, thin bright orange hair, she spent a fortune perming and colouring her hair and as much as she would get for the effort was a yucky brown colour with a slight wave to her hair.Why is it when you have really thick curly hair do people ask if it is real and can they touch it ? I have had more than one hairdresser beg me to let them take photos or just sit in their chair and let them play with with my hair.
My poor DD and DGD get the same. AS a baby DGD had fair thick curls and lived in Cyprus and constantly had local ladies bending into her pram to touch and kiss her hair.
