Galen, I think you just go to FORUMS, right at the top, in the maroon strap line. Click there, find the subject you want to add to, i.e. CHAT/HEALTH/MONEY etc. Click in the orange box where it says Start a new discussion. That should do it, and I am on my Ipad. (Apologies if I am teaching Gransnetters to suck eggs)

Galen I think it's: if you go on 'active', there's a dropdown menu on the right at the top, where you can start a new discussion, is that what you're looking for?

Sorry. 'Add post' isn't what you're looking for!

Just found a bright orange rectangle which should do it.
Go to the appropriate forum where you want to start your new thread. The button is top left.

You made me wonder about that galen. On the mobile site there is a band at the foot of the page including 'add post' but can't figure out the desktop site. Haven't tried it so who knows if it works?

Apart from the all over greyness as far as the list of threads is concerned, I don't have a problem.

I think the problem is that they haven't got the hang of the idea that a redesign is meant to improve a site, not make it worse.

It's all irritating and disappointing in equal measures. I agree with the heading to this thread

I do wonder whether they have outsourced the updating of the site at some cost, and now feel they have to justify the expense by implementing (mostly unwanted) changes?

I wonder if HQ would inform us (GNers)

1 Why after all this time they have come to the conclusion that the site requires an update.

2 what they are hoping to achieve by making the changes.

Do they (HQ) actually have a plan or indeed a vision of how the end product
should look?
