Posting on behalf of my mum 
who's been widowed three years and is quite keen on meeting someone new. She's 65, very fit, healthy and young at heart.
I wonder if any of you have used any sites that you'd recommend? She lives in a rural part of the country, not the south east so we don't want anything too London-centric!
Would love to hear your recommendations and any top tips that any of you, who have done this yourselves, would like to share.

ah yes, heard of Plentyoffish, so thanks for recommending too. I think she's aware of the classicfm one though we've not looked at it yet
Out of curiosity I had a quick look at the Classic FM site. I am still laughing at one man who posted "If you can cook and clean that is useful as I like to spend my time doing other work and enjoying myself." 
I would love to cook and clean and be useful while you enjoy yourself, said no enlightened woman ever!
