My elderly dog is struggling on her walks now , we do have a big garden . But I feel she's missing out . We'd also like to take her out with us for the day . I'm thinking of buying a pet stroller and I was wondering if anyone uses one for their dog and does the dog like it . Thank you

Pet strollers are great for elderly dogs . The dogs love the fresh air and a change of of scenery. Go for it!

Great idea. We had one for our elderly dog and he loved it and it meant he could still come out for the day with us. Good luck, hope he likes it.

Yes, we bought one about 10 years ago for our dog who had crutiate ligament repair. We had 2 other dogs at the time so it was a necessity to be able to still take them out for walks but not leave operation dog home alone.
She loved the pushchair. Sat in it like Queen Bee, enjoying all the fuss

Our youngest dog from back then is now our only, elderly dog who is unwell so the pushchair still puts in appearances now and again

That’s such a thoughtful idea for your pup! 🐾 Many people with senior dogs use strollers and find that their dogs really enjoy them they still get to see, smell, and experience the world without the strain of walking. It can be a lovely way to include her in outings and give her back that sense of adventure. You might want to start with short rides in your garden so she feels safe, then build up to longer trips. I think she’ll love being part of your day again!

Is there a way of checking that out?

I've seen people pushing dogs in buggies and thought it was silly, but reading this thread has helped me understand why!
