We have a black, white with a touch of ginger, cat visiting us, more from midday on than early in the am and he/she is pitifully thin, just skin and bones...son has bought cat food and pellets and we have put in a dish outside so it can feed, this was us thinking that it was a deserted cat BUT it if a very fussy feeder and will only have a taste of what is in the dish which leads us to think that it maybe ill rather than starving.. I have sent a message to the RSPCA but no reply as yet. We don't know where it lives and not certain about going to a vet with someone else's cat, he might be able to find an identifying disc and we could call to see the owner maybe . It likes a stroke and has been coming into the kitchen where it gets a few tid bits. But we are worried that it is ill rather than hungry. What would you do?
