"re-wild" could we find a better word, please?

I find it highly recognisable and clear even though maybe grammatically questionable. Who cares? I've no intention of participating in the suggestion, by the way.

Have just heard there is a hill fort near Clevedon which is going to be 're-wilded'. Which considering it has been clear of trees and shrubs since the Neolithic when the land was originally cleared, seems a very strange idea
