I do sometimes wish that birthdays had never been invented. Great when you are a little, but can be a real chore after that.

Ahh, now, do you mean why would anyone have a belated birthday, and that it should be something like Belated Happy Birthday?

Certainly! It really grates when I hear it!

It's now Wednesday and I have received a late card every day this week. It happens every year, so we have a tradition of keeping our cards up for a whole week in this house, just so that we get to see the final collection in all its glory.

I often send cards that say something like 'Sorry it's late, but I do think of you, just not your date of birth!' which is very easy to do with Moonpig.com.

I received a birthday card this morning that was posted belatedly on June 21st!
My birthday is on June 13th!
It gave the sender and me a good laugh anyway.

Better late than never!

It's made me have a think though Kitty - it would save me an awful lot of money if I just didn't bother! I must forget at least four family birthdays a year.
