Has Trump Completely Lost It?

He says he's come to an agreement with Denmark to establish a military presence in Greenland, with a view to incorporating it into the US as the 51st state.

Denmark are silent.

Don't say he's making it up?

...the problem is the people of today groupthink, behave like sheep and do as their told without applying any logic or thoughts of their own, sad times

I think the irony of that sentence completely escapes you.

Maybe they will impeach Trump, then they get Vance hardly an enticing prospect.

Trump will pardon himself by executive order. As usual, he will find a way round this.

Burnham did well at the UN. Trumps speech was significant, it gave him a way out of the Iran war,
he threatened to "annihilate Iran but hoped they would make a deal." then went went on "after the election"

He knows he cannot win but will blame congress for not continuing the war, in his mind thats his face saving way out.

Trump made his speech all about himself as usual.

Why doesn't this app give you the option to Edit? I meant 'the'.

The Democrats should have replaced Biden and given the electorate a democratically elected alternative. Biden had said he would only be president and reneged on it. Even now they don’t seem to have a creditable alternative to Trump. The whole world is being affected by this. And Trump is trying to make America a dictatorship having learned lessons from his idol, Putin. Imo I just hope I’m wrong, though. It terrifies me.

Governor Gavin Newsone of California is a credible prospective president for tge Democrats. Kamala Harris was as well but the MAGA voters didn't want a black woman as president. Everything that Kamala said Trump would do, has come to pass. He will go down in history as the worse president ever.

I am not sure the man ever had it, never mind ‘lost’ it ! He is becoming a danger to the whole world. At least that is how it seems from my perspective. It would be interesting to hear an opposing point of view . Anyone ? Must be some who understand and support him, somewhere ?

You said what I was thinking. He never had it to lose. He is definitely a danger to the world and America, a walking time bomb.

StoneofDestiny Fri 25-Sept-26 17:48:14

Not read the specifics of the post - but Trump
never ‘had it’, so most certainly has ‘lost it’.

Sounds to me that Denmark have achieved exactly what they want on their terms but Trump is making out he has taken control of Greenland because of the elections.

In many ways, both Denmark and Greenland have got what we wanted. The US may established two new military bases in Greeland, and bring the one they already have back up to strength.

There are however strings attached: namely that Greenland is still part of the Kingdom of Denmark until or unless Greenland itself desires a change of status in the future.

The new military bases must as far as possible repect the Greenlanders' traditional way of life and Greenland and Denmark have a say in which companies may work in Greenland and what may be exported from Greenland. Any and all exports have to be paid for.

Last month it was Canada that was to be the 51st state of the US, now Trump again is saying Greenland. He is talking through his hat as per usual - presumably beause he either does not realise that the d eal has been brokered by the diplomats of the countries involved doing their job, or because he chooses to ignore this fact and claim all the credit for himself.

Trump is dangerous because by and large he himself believes the nonsense he spouts, and many of his followers still believe it too. He apparently knows nothing of international politics and diplomacy, nor does he care enough to bother to listen to those who do know.

I see no real change in him or in his politics and am afraid it is wishful thinking if anyone thinks he is going downhill fast.

History will tell you he was the greatest president ever, he bows to no man, gets things done, speaks straight and does t suffer fools gladly, the problem is the people of today groupthink, behave like sheep and do as their told without applying any logic or thoughts of their own, sad times

😀😀.

He lost the plot years ago, he used to mock Joe Biden calling him sleepy joe etc and look at him, Im a retired Mental Health Professional and I’m seriously saying I have never seen a bigger narcissistic deluded person as him.
I just can’t understand how anyone could support his mad behaviour or how his wife is still with him.

Trump, Putin, Netanyahu the three most dangerous men in the world today and Trump is at the forefront. He is at the very best an unstable liar but probably also plain incompetent. How on earth did he manage to get elected twice as president?!

How on earth did he manage to get elected twice as president?!

Rather a lot of people are asking that question.

Do you remember Boris Johnson once publicly criticised Trump and then, later - when he (Johnson) became our PM - he promptly changed his tune?

When intelligent and supposedly educated individuals willingly uphold the legitimacy of a frequently incoherent, narcissistic, convicted criminal, you can only assume it must be because of self-preservation or self-interest.

That could be one of the reasons?

I wish I could imagine what a Vance Presidency would look like. It would either be 10x worse because he isn't an idiot or he flops because he isn't very popular. Either way, I prefer to keep the enemy we know at this point. He just needs his wings cut off and some duct tape over his mouth.

Because these who got rich by dubious means know he will turn a blind eye and protect their interests, and those who dislike immigrants and anyone they label as ‘woke’ know that Trump hasn’t got a humane bone in his body and so will translate their dislike into brutal expulsions of immigrants by ICE operatives.

Greenland never had a problem with US military presence on their island - they always were welcome. I believe US had 6 military bases, but they let 5 of them go derelict.

I think Trump is interested to usurp Greenland's mineral rights.

WithNobsOnIt Fri 25-Sept-26 13:52:52

The biggest puzzle to me is what does that say about the people who voted for him?

Surely that can see how he behaves?

Susieq62 Fri 25-Sept-26 13:48:28

Trump is already a nightmare to all of us! Petrol prices, food prices, insecurity all because of this President! If I wrote what I really felt I would be banned on here for life !!!

Here is some interesting reading at least. Nothing will come if it, but it does g7 e a comprehensive list of all his illegal and unconstitutional actions all in one place.

One thing I am pleased about is that his supporters on GN have now seemed to have disappeared.

Perhaps the hard of thinking have finally thought😊

They're not 'hard of thinking' - for one reason or another... or several - posters on GN don't care about the man's failings.

The point is he is representative of a conservative, right-wing political ideology - and that's what they agree with - it just so happens that at this moment in time, that ideology, that POV, has a very unpleasant old man at its helm.

It's not Trump - it's the ideology - and as he hasn't yet shot anyone on 6th Avenue, and he sometimes forcefully underlines a particular point or policy that chimes with them and elicits a "bravo!" - he'll do for the moment.
