I got two ... one in Welsh, one in English ...

Galaxy Fri 14-Aug-26 21:25:18

Was there a warning that that was going to happen?

Charleygirl5 Fri 14-Aug-26 21:23:03

Yes, London. I had no clue what was going on

MayBee70 Fri 14-Aug-26 21:18:53

I bet if you were in a supermarket you’d think the fire alarm was going off with everyone’s phone having the alert.

Yes. Left my phone in my bag downstairs at (SD
House with 3 floors, can’t think what you call them the now), but I blinking heard it all the way upstairs.
A good thing in my opinion.

Townhouse 🤦‍♀️

It's just England and Wales.

SueDonim Fri 14-Aug-26 20:59:23

None here. I’m in Scotland.

Farzanah Fri 14-Aug-26 20:51:52

Mine was in Welsh with no translation!

Well, it didn't go off on my phone but as I was in the garden, I heard my neighbour's alarm.

Silvershadow Fri 14-Aug-26 20:38:45

We did. South coast.

Just had a phone call from 11yr old GS, he had the alerts and wanted to know if he should put his X box in his grab bag as his mum (DD) had said no…

JoyBloggs Fri 14-Aug-26 20:15:26

Yes

Whitewavemark2 Fri 14-Aug-26 19:52:22

No - I’m on South Downs.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Fri 14-Aug-26 19:50:19

Yes I did.

Elegran Fri 14-Aug-26 19:48:16

Nothing yet on my phone, neither mobile nor terrestrial. Maybe they think there isn't enough sunshine up here to dry out the vegetation and make it vulnerable. Tell that to them in the Cairngorms, or even on Arthur's Seat in the middle of Edinburgh.

Elegran Fri 14-Aug-26 19:43:32

Answering my own question - News reports say the alarms arrived on phones in England and Wales. (Except for the reports saying the alarms went out "nationwide". Do they know something about Scottish Independence that the SNP haven't heard yet? Also, there is someone asking on the net "Can you have wildfires in Scotland?" No, dear, they have passed a law banning them. They don't dare cross the border illegally.)

Cossy Fri 14-Aug-26 19:40:05

Yes (see other thread)

Elegran Fri 14-Aug-26 19:24:55

Was that over the whole of the Uk?

Grannybags Fri 14-Aug-26 19:22:28

Yes me too

Ilovecheese Fri 14-Aug-26 19:21:20

Yes

Calendargirl Fri 14-Aug-26 19:12:42

Everybody else received a very loud alarm on their phone and this message?
