Speculation: Who Will Be In Burnham's Cabinet?

But the Guardian is jumping the gun a bit - Burnham's prospective appointment isn't a Done Deal just yet!

However, I personally don't care too much who gets the job providing they banish the despicable Rachel Reeves to the back benches.

That'll do me!

Just drop it. I am going to leave this thread now as it has become a pile on and I can’t be bothered with it .Stop gaslighting me and saying things that I have never, ever even thought let alone said. Bye 👋

But the way, nanna8…we’re just exercising the freedom of speech that you say we don’t have in the uk.

Well I agree with every word Susieq posted and if you think that’s ‘rude’ and worth reporting good luck with that. Robust responses are absolutely fine and especially when the posts being responded to are hardly polite and well informed. Or is a post to be defined as rude when you don’t agree with it and especially if it’s well informed and accurate.?

I agree with it too…

Sorry CO2 beneath the seabed

I don't think the "earth tremor" scare is good science. Even if it was released into the sea it would dissolve in the saline sea water & crystallise out to form carbonate.
So seeing as massive tremors in the area aren't recorded, the CO2 shouldn't get back into the atmosphere.

Thing is, when part of a claim like this is iffy, it makes me suspect the whole objection as "pseudoscience". Although I haven't researched anything else about this.

Nanna8 know more about what ?? Know who???
I just don’t like your disparaging remarks about our country and our representatives ! It is never ending from you!
We will have to agree to disagree and I have written nothing that requires reporting !
I am sure your grandchildren will have a great experience despite our current political climate!!

Someone upthread thread mentioned Louise Haigh...hasn't she got a conviction for committing fraud? Surely she shouldn't be a Cabinet Minister.

The full story is easily googled but yes she received a conditional discharge after pleading guilty to fraud by misrepresentation over a ‘missing’ mobile phone.

She pleaded guilty to fraud by misrepresentation something to do with a work phone.

Mazie - it wasn’t funny at all.

For you perhaps, for others it was 😉

Thanks GrannyGravy13 My grandchildren will be over in the London on Monday after finally negotiating their British passports. They are looking forward to it but unlike me they have no interest in politics whatsoever .

Hope they have a great time here😃at least the weather will be cooler by then.

I genuinely thought Miliband was Millibrand. Sorry. I have to fess up to the millipede one though.

A sense of humour and thick skin is needed on the N & P threads.

It wasn't even particularly funny, GG13

No, it’s just to be defined as rude because it is. Excessive use of the exclamation mark is another reportable offence so I have heard😜

Aussies are known for a sense of humour. It is sometimes very different, though and is often misunderstood. More often than not on here ! Thanks for your support Oreo. Very much appreciated.

We have a large Aussie contingent, one of our Melbourne gang is over here at the moment, love your sense of humour.

Keep posting 👍

Nanna8 you need to read the room better from down under! Plus stop using nasty names for solid hard working people !
Of course you are entitled to air your views but it amazes me how insulting you can be towards such folk given you haven’t lived here for so long and chose to leave the UK possibly after receiving a decent start in life?
Not sure where you get your info from to make you such an expert on our politics! I don’t even know how many PMs you have had over the years! Albanese looks ok though from where I am sitting at the moment !!

I’d be willing to bet I know more about it than you do. You have no idea about my background or interests. Or who I know in your country come to that!

Rachel Reeves has announced that she is supporting Andy Burnham - it really is ^rats leaving a sinking ship^

Oh wow goodness me first cabinet minister ever in history to express support for a potential new leader. It’s politics GG what on earth did you expect?

Don’t worry, he’s called a lot worse in our house, and ignore the rude messages that you shouldn’t comment as you live in Australia, if it were me I would report them.
