Comments like 'cold rage' which seemed to 'communicate' itself into thuggish disorder in Belfast?

Farage is about, and as usual , he ha summed up the current situation perfectly, calling for a Labour leadership contest at the very least, preferably a General Election, because, as is coming from all sides, 'we don't know what Burnham stands for.'
I really don't think Farage wants to be PM, but as a political commentator and analyst he can communicate the current situation with clarity, and his comments are extremely pertinent.

I’m offering up this piece of journalism by Jonathan Lis published in the Byline Times on 28 August 2020. It’s about Boris Johnson but … when you read it, substitute the name Farage for Johnson. It’s the same story so far save that Farage isn't Prime Minister and hopefully never will be.

This is corruption at its most decadent: botching a crisis or destroying a national infrastructure not for political gain, nor even for financial reward, but ultimately for pure personal sport.

Despite all its levels and dimensions, this game has just one rule and allows for just one winner. It dictates that the United Kingdom, and its people, currently exist for one purpose and one purpose alone – and that is to serve the ego of Boris Johnson Farage … The rest is noise.

I've just watched the Youtube interview. He didn't sound very keen on the idea of being PM, he quickly changed the subject. Not like Nige to be modest so I still think he's happier carping from the sidelines and making lots of money rather than putting the hard graft in.

Yes, and he was interviewed by CNN yesterday too. He’s choosing safe interviews with pre-determined questions, rather than the cut and thrust of group debates or grilling by political commentators with some nous to ask probing questions. He will have to face the music at some point though.

Farage falls out with everyone, he's not a team player or a good leader. IMO he'd be a rubbish PM however, I have some faith in the British voter. Some will use a vote for Reform as a protest votewhen they feel they can but when it comes to the GE, they will vote for a party that they feel is more reliable than Reform and use their vote more strategically.

Starmer may not have been jolly, charismatic and down with the boys, but I believe he earnestly wanted to help the country get out of the mire He wasn’t my favourite politician a bit right for my Labour but I believe he was a safe pair of intelligent hands. Sorry to see it go this way I hope Burnham who I like is up to it

I always knew where KS was. If he wasn't in the UK, he was looking after UK interests on the world stage not skulking around trying to avoid being asked awkward question about why was he given a £5 million bung!

Farage today: “I’ve had enough of waiting around. Britain needs change - real change, not another washed-up has-been shoved into place by the uniparty. If Labour thinks it can shove another professional politician into No 10, it has another thing coming. Reform is ready for an election, and we are ready to deliver radical change”.

Farage himself was first elected as a parliamentarian (an MEP) in 1999, two years before Burnham was first elected as an MP! Farage himself personifies a career politician but unlike Burnham has achieved very little that is positive for his electorate!

Farage describes AB as a washed up has been but just last Thursday AB secured more votes than all the other parties put together, including Reform and has won 3 Mayoral elections in a row, over 9 years! clearly AB is not a washed up has been. Farage’s chosen candidate, Kenyon- was not a match against AB and that must rankle- hence Farage’s petty, spiteful, irrelevant and far fetched post today.

If only Farage could be as successful a career politician as AB! Farage shows how out of touch with reality and irrelevant he is becoming himself. Plus when you think how much Farage himself now earns from second jobs linked to the celebrity he has achieved as politician rather than any success or performance as a politician ( again unlike AB) and not giving away 15% of his salary (as does AB to the homeless) to help others, shows Farage as the lesser political compared to AB.

Farage has got 3 more years to wait around for the next GE- whether he likes it or not! And he's wrong- Reform UK is not in a position to deliver radical change- the party would need to actually win a GE to even get the chance. With MP candidates the calibre of Robert Kenyon- it simply can't be done- the party is clearly not ready.

I cannot foresee a time when Reform will EVER be ready for a GE, let alone take power.

He’s one of 8 MPs, all of whom, including Farage defected from Tories originally.

Where and how is he to produce at least 300 new MPs from, who would appeal to his disciples yet meet the level and standard required to work in our govt?

I dread to think who’ll follow Kenyon as potential candidates, it’s utterly shocking to even think about it!

I think we need a “Where’s Nigel” completion and the first to spot him gets a prize.

Farage is a bigmouth attention seeker. If the best he could offer against Burnham was Plumber Kenyon, then no other parties have anything to worry about. Just look at the calibre of MPs who've defected to his party - none of them have any credibility or any successful track record in politics. Jenrick and Pochin are poisonous, 50p Lee and Tice are a joke and Kruger looks very uncomfortable in his new party. Plus they've got Restore to worry about. I wouldn't be surprised if Farage de-camped to the USA soon. Running a party is hard work and he's not a fan of that.
