Maremia

Good news on the health front that could be universal for 50 percent of the population.
Cancer rate has dropped to just about zero, of cervical cancer, for those young women who have taken the jab.

Grantanow- I usually try and avoid gloating over the downfall of others in posts- but when it comes to Reform Uk's loss in Makerfield I just cant help myself- and agree with you....

I was moved by Obama's tears when listening to his wife's speech. They both conduct themselves with great dignity- unlike the present White Office incumbent. Its good news that there are those in politics with good, public service intentions and that there are more in waiting ready to rise to the top and turn things round where needed.

Reform lost in Makerfield: that's good news.

Too true.

The very surname 'Trump' says it all.

And the Pope said he has no fear of the attitude, still promotes peace and did not engage in the rhetoric.

Makes me wish Jimmy Carter would be born again, literally.

The Pope tried to do that. he just met contumely, especially from Trump

I feel its important that someone who most of the world respects stands up and calls out all of the wrong going on by someone the whole world does not respect.

There isn't any good news at the moment except, a possible end to the Iran conflict.

All the items mentioned above are worthy but not internationally, or even nationally signifcant.

I heard Michelle Obama on the radio.
It was a lovely speech, well delivered.
I will see if I can find this on "catch-up" somewhere.

Hard to believe that in a few short years the change at the top of American politics is so enormous.

I heard about this Macaydia. It's a comforting reminder that the USA wasn't always mad, and gives you hope that the nation might return to days of grace and diplomacy.

Did anyone else watch the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center Museum? I have only gotten through the first part where Michelle introduces the honorable former US President and I saw him wiping some tears during her speech. I cant wait to watch the rest. Great entertainment, good musicians and no bloody fighting. I even like the architecture (art) of the building. Anyone else watching?
