Trump is on a completely different page to everyone else. Saying last night that a peace deal was imminent and would be great for the USA, whilst Iran have pulled out of talks.

Indeed: it would seem that not only did previous Presidents have no wish to enter a fight of Israel's choosing, but also that they were wise enough to listen to their advisers who described the likely scenario that would unfold.

Nobody's a winner except for the rich and power seekers and those happy to see the innocent dead and self seeking and arms sellers and big companies.

Everyone's claiming it's everyone else's fault.
Who actually wants peace in that lot?

Netanyahu is bombing Lebanon to bits in the name of Hezbollah, and many civilians will suffer. but what is just as bad, it is strengthening ordinary Lebanon citizens to turn to Hezbollah (since press are still in Beruit, these were direct interview). and - surprise, surprise - Hezbollah has been striking at Israel as a direct response - they were not the intital aggressors.

Message from my friends in Northern Israel this morning read ‘meanwhile I’m working from home because of Hezbollah drones, but Iranian hackers are disabling out wi-fi’

I think your point about elections being postponed is very likely to come true.
The fighting will go on at many different levels regardless of any interference from outside.

Another endless war.

And now it is being reported that there will be no deal from Iran until the IDF withdraws from Lebanon.

Just at election time coming up relatively soon in Israel .

(Perhaps declare a "state of emergency"? "Sorry: elections cancelled: unsafe in streets" ?)

Allegedly, Netanyahu has been trying for years, to get US Presidents to attack Iran.
Then Trump comes along.

This illegal war was doomed to failure from the start. Trump must surely regret getting involved.
His constant boast about peace deals almost done was just so much hot air.
Netanyahu won't stop until he he has done to Lebanon what he did to Gaza.
Trump still doesn't realise he has been used by Netanyahu causing difficulty for his own people.

Over in one day. Not.

Trumps supposed "plans for peace" with Iran (if they were ever workable anyway) are just being smashed to bits right now.

War breeds war.

Since one of Iran's key parts of the peace plan and reopening of the Straits is that Israesl's current regime put a halt on the bombing,

Trump's plans are dead in the water (how much they would have worked anyway is questionable, but nevertheless less just before Netanyahu launched the latest huge level of attacks he claimed it was more or less in the bag.

War breeds yet more war, and the world suffers, and the war has already cost the USA $30,000,000,000, and people will be noticing even more prices going up as well as "why start this war? Whats it got to do with us?"
