.....allegedly owing around 4.5 million.

I wonder if all his rich and influential friends will rally round for him wink

Don’t hold your breath!

His house in Camden is worth over £7m and another in Primrose Hill over £2m so he can afford to pay his creditors but will doubtless try to wheedle out of it. I have not one shred of sympathy for him.

And I've had HMRC on to me because of the £11.21 I get a month from some old outdated work pension.

I thought that was my world cruise sorted.

Talk about one law for them and one law for we peasants hmm

Oh dear...........looks like his days of being photographed swanning around on the Super-yachts of the mega rich and guzzling their Bollinger by the pint may be over.

Like Hell!

David49 Fri 24-Apr-26 08:17:53

The consultancy will be a limited company for sure, if it's liabilities are £4.5m thats what the creditors loose, Mandy can just swan off and leave it all behind.

No justice

He will know how to work the system.

eazybee Fri 24-Apr-26 09:25:29

Are we surprised?

Babamaman Sun 26-Apr-26 15:14:48

Totally agree with you / and he got a pay off for being sacked! And he had a knighthood so everytime he goes to the house of lords he gets £350! And all the reduced food and expenses!
Are we supposed to feel sorry for him?
He’s a traitor! Sold information to benefit his Russian and Chinese associates!
No pity, no he is pure evil!
He must be stripped of his title
Refund the £750,000 pay off

Unbelievable! How pathetic and waste of money too! It certainly is one law for them!

if the firm was a limited company then the assets of the individuals do not come into it UNLESS it can be shown that the directors acted fraudulently or caused the business to cease trading. More likely that the press surrounding his post in America has caused the business to collapse.

So conniving and cleaver 🤬🤬 any chance he’s going to have to pay compensation, just saying, the filthy pig 🤮

Silvertwigs Sun 26-Apr-26 16:40:03

mae13 I do doubt it

Why should he pay compensation? To whom?

As far as I know, Mandelson wasn't even a director any more, although he retained shares in the company.

This is not about individuals but the laws regarding businesses. Companies are limited by share ownership .
£4.5million is a drop in the ocean of firms that go bankrupt .

In my previous work role I've come across very dodgy dealings . Unless the law is changed then Peter Mandelson as a director has limited responsibilities.

I don't think Mandelson was even a director.

He is listed as a director on Companies house of Willbury Limited - not sure if it is the same company which this post refers to but I presume so as the accounts are overdue - a sure signal that a firm is going under

Global made a profit in 2024 and Mandelson resigned as a director in 2024 so it is unclear to what happened . Either way it is not clear as to why the story is in the news .

Why shouldn't it be in the news? It is a company where, until very recently Mandelson was a director. Mandelson is in the news at the moment because of discreditable behaviour while in government service and for aspects of his private life. Of course the bankruptcy of a company he was closely involved in is in the news.

When a company goes bust there is always an enuiry into why it happened and whether anyone involved in the company in recent years was involved in the causes that led to its failure. Given how Mandelson's conduct of his private and public life is now under suspicion, obviously the unfortunate failure of any company associated with him will be in the news.

As the resignation was 2 years ago,( so not recent) and the 2024 accounts show a profit I'm not sure why it is news. Unless it is argued his resignation caused the loss of clients?
I do find it odd that there is no mention of the current company which looks as though it's not in a good financial position.

Many of those associated with Epstein took action in advance of the recent revelations to try to limit company damage. Wexford did the same Victorias Secret was sold off 2 or 3 yrs ago they knew that it was likely association with Epstein was going become public knowledge

Sorry, kjmpde, but in circumstances like these the resignation is recent. Read any investigation on the collapse of a company and the investigators can be going back 5 or more years in looking at what went wrong with a company. The seeds of failre, like those of success are often slow germinating.
