Yes, please make America normal again - well sort of normal anyway. At the moment it feels like some sort of weird nightmare.

Biden: Regardless of whom the population voted for, Biden gave the Governors of Florida, Texas, Georgia & other states a budget to cover the losses of homes and properties from both hurricanes and tornados.

He did not hold it against the population if they did or did not vote for Biden ..

He is a good man. I would like to have seen him have a chance to be president when he was younger as his powers were failing by the time he (thank goodness) beat Trump (but not at the expense of Obama - but maybe before him)

I’m not sure you have a decent grasp on US domestic politics if you believe that wildly simplistic statement is accurate. A sitting president needs a cooperative congress. Unlike Trump, no other US President in recent history had bypassed and sidestepped Congress in the manner that Trump has with (illegal) executive orders. It wasn’t a done thing. I was there. Obama was blocked at every turn, and yet the American people still had lower unemployment and lower costs of living. If you are talking about what Obama did globally economically, well it was never his role to prop up the global economy in the first place.

In 2016 Obama passed the 21st Century Cures Act. Section 24 of this authorises the insertion of nanotechnology into the population, without their consent as long as it does not have an effect that is outside normal life (or some such terminology). As death is definitely 'normal' this would seem to be meaningless and certainly something that a clever lawyer could use to justify - well - a hell of a lot. Things are not always what they seem, people in public offices are never what they seem. Too many people, in my opinion, love to wallow in Trump-hating and ignore all the other icebergs that are there, often in plain sight.

How any American of good conscience could elect a man with NO moral compass, a convicted sexual predator, convicted fraudster, malignant narcissist, LIAR, Vulgar and ignorant, is beyond me.. yes the immigration system needs repair … everywhere, but the way it is happening is not reform, it’s sheer cruelty. He promised low cost groceries, etc etc etc… and instead his stupid tariffs have created higher costs to the average consumer. He promised no foreign wars… need I say more. How is your Golden Age going? Icebergs …yes all CREATED by Trump the Lump! As for his chosen cabinet… sycophants all… I thought better of Siusie Wiles, but it appears even she can’t keep the deranged idiot in check! As for the right Supreme Court… about as impartial as a child handing out good and bad chocs!

Yes - I admire the patriotism too. We have it here in Australia to a lesser extent. We are certainly not ashamed of our flag. There are some trying to undermine it,though but not to such an extent as in the UK.

Good to be proud of your country but blindly following a deranged President, not so. in some ways we should be more like them and put our country and people first but that won’t happen,

Trump has managed to make the USA unrecognizable to its friends in 12 months of reckless and dangerous behaviour. America is no longer the friend and ally of Europe we must pivot/uncouple away from the USA, like a slow divorce as quickly as humanly possible. it will take time but there is no going back.

As I said previously, both parties are looking to clean up since elections are so far away. Everyone (both sides) is mad about the war and economy. People are starting to notice that he is doing illegal things. He is turning on the talking heads that helped get him elected.

We have another country wide protest on May Day. It will be interesting to see the numbers protesting.

I live in California having come over from the UK in 1991. It has always been a great country to live in and still is. Presidents come and go, but the country always seems to withstand whatever is thrown at it. In general it is a hopeful and patriotic country. I miss England of course, and visit when I can, but America is my home now, and I embrace it.

How refreshing to read a positive take on living in the USA. You are right of course Presidents come and go and of course you are also right to embrace what is now your home country.

There is a rumor going around that Trump's toddler meltdown in the Situation Room during the pilot rescue was because his staff wouldn't let him have access to the nuclear codes.

He was removed from the Situation Room that night for his tantrum, which is bad enough, but I can't say if it is true that it has to do with nuclear codes. It wouldn't surprise me. How sad it is that everything about him is so ridiculous that anything is believable.

SAVE Act did fail the Senate. They didn't get enough to reach the filibuster, which is 60 votes.

Virginia is voting on redistricting today. If it passes, it will move the Virginia seats to the left. Trump has said that of it passes, the GOP is on trouble in November.

In the House, Johnson had to swear in the newly elected Democrat, narrowing his lead in the House to just 1 vote.

Don't give up on us yet. The momentum is spreading in voters and the GOP is nervous.

I actually would be surprised if the GOP/Vance doesn't 25th him before November. That is the only way they could expect to possibly keep their jobs. And I guarantee that any politician will throw whoever they need to under the bus to keep themselves employed.

If anyone is interested, the Supreme Court shadow documents are being leaked into the public. It isn't a good look for the corrupt judges. Oh, and a wife who has made $10 million in "fees" with a company of hers.

It is all going to fall apart soon IMO. Though they have been working on this for 40+ years, they won't give up now.
