House Democrats have filed a suit to start involving the 25th Amendment. It will never happen, because they would need a veto proof majority.

But if the GOP is looking for an off ramp, this is their opportunity.

Why can a Baptist Minister be involved in politics but not a Pope? As far as I can tell, the Pope, does not involve himself in politics but, naturally for a spiritual leader, wants peace.
Is that a political aim?

I have just read up on the number of Christians in the USA approx 70 million with over 20% being Catholic. Do all those people just forget all the teaching and worship Trump, will the Catholics recognise Trumps views more highly than the Pope? I think not, this will most likely be his undoing as how can he wriggle out of this.

There is an interesting conundrum here. When I was a child many people in the Uk were suspicious of catholics, especially Irish catholics in the army - and the army always had lots of irish recruits, because, it was claimed, that they would always obey the Pope, even when his 'commands' ran counter to national policy.

Is that argument going to be revived in the USA?
