Farage is already very, very rich A million p.a.is chickenfeed to him. I think he is really in it for āfameā and ego. Same applies to some ,but not all, of his mates. Which makes you question why he says he supports poor working people.
Farage says a lot of things that he thinks people want to hear.
He only cares about making money and being in the spotlight.
At yesterdayās press conference, Farageās blatant contempt and misogyny aimed at Anna Gross of the FT and Camilla Tominey of the DT was shameful.
John Crace: The longer the press conference went on, the more arrogant and objectionable Nige became. He started ridiculing female journalists for asking the wrong questions. Refusing to answer anything awkward. This was the thin-skinned, sexist, bad-tempered version of Nige that he tries so hard to keep under wraps.

Canāt be any worse that RR
I think he would put in a sterling effort to be worse than RR.

Copying his mentor Trump here.
What an obnoxious little man Farage is.
Now what? Has inflation slowed down?
Whose fault is that?
Unemployment is going upā¦. Such a struggle ā¦.
What is Reform's plan to reduce unemployment?
Maremia
What is Reform's plan to reduce unemployment?
I think we know.
Deport anybody who is not āBritishā (their interpretation will apply rather than mine).
Reintroduce zero hours contracts
Abolish the Equality Act
Reduce eligibility for sickness pay and benefits
Cut all benefits to under 25s
I forgot to say - women are to have as many babies as possible, in their twenties, and stay at home to look after them, thus removing them from the employment statistics.
Wow a positive family oriented society⦠how amazing that would beā¦. In your dreamsā¦. Mums being financially secure looking after children?? How??
Nothing Farage says is of any interest or what I wish to hear, unless itās āIām moving permanently from the UK, far, far awayā

Sounds very fair to me! š¤£š¤£š¤£
Ronib, have you forgotten about āchoiceā, many mothers enjoy working and all that goes with that! Itās not always all about finances.

Are Reform trying to scupper their chances?
I genuinely think this is all part of Farageās plan to blow up the party and walk away. He's bored now.
Putting up the obnoxious Goodwin for Gorton & Denton. Sending Tice onto LBC to say they will reduce wages for young people. Braverman saying she will scrap the Equality Act - which among other things protects womenās maternity rights. How does that tie in with wanting women to have more children?
For all his noise, Farage doesnāt want to be Prime Minister. He said something today about .. if he falls under a bus (form an orderly queue to drive it please).
Restore will attract the hardcore racists and split the far-right vote.
Reform are 3 points down in the polls this week. 76% of people donāt want them.
The tide is turning.I spoke to someone who worked with him and he said he never wanted to be PM. He just enjoys the power he seems to have over people and the thrill of the chase.
Labour won with only 33 1/3 percent of the votes. So the majority didn't vote for them. They only got in because of our voting system.
Will be terrible then fallingstar
What's happened to Lee Anderson?
I think he's thinking to jump ship and joinig that other party?
The one with someone called Rupert in it?
Lee Anderson is good at one thing- chancing his arm with Labour, then the Tories, then Reform... wonder where he'll go next?

Strange thing is I donāt remember people talking about voting percentages before, only seats won. Imo a landslide is a landslide no matter what other figures people throw up.

Thatās most definitely not in my dreams ronib Being a breeding machine in my twenties for the government and being consigned to a caring role only for years, so that I was never equal to men in employment status is my idea of hell.

The government elected has only won more than 50% of the vote once in any election since the end of the FIrst World War, and that was in 1931. Itās a non point.
I voted for them Freya as I have been a Labour voter all my life and thought that this government would be similar to the Tony Blair/ Brown years. How wrong could I be?They were voted for by others only to get the Conservatives out of power.
Starmer and Reeves, a terrible double act are ruining Labour after only 18 months or so in power.I can hardly believe itš
Men are never going to be equal to the breeding machine ⦠they know their limitations. Casdon My idea of hell is not being with your children when they need you and being a cash machine for government. Take your choice.
Iāve never met a man who wanted to be a woman and have lots of babies ronib, although I guess there must be a few of them out there, somewhere. Nor have I let my children down when they needed me.
Itās not a linear choice, is it, because we currently have the right to make our own choices as to how we live our lives. Penalising women for not having children, or expecting them to have lots of them and stay at home are not acceptable policies to me, although they may be to some people whose childbearing years are behind them so wonāt be affected.
