I think it matters who was involved in getting the hush money together in so far as it tells us who was fully in the picture as to what was going on and why no concern was expressed then. W, K and KC seem to have quite recently discovered that there are some victims. It’s really tawdry and sleszey isn’t it? And then when it becomes undeniable they start trading on caring about the victims.

Put like that, it's pretty grim.

Well I think his past as a trade envoy, his past as a friend of JE, his past of lying on national TV and his present refusal to face up to his past speaks volumes. As for his evident stupidity , you could start with watching the interview.

Being widely acknowledged doesn’t mean it’s true, but it’s a phrase often used to make the comments sound more credible.

All the stories of not highly thought of in the RN are hearsay.
I’ve read them accounts from my uncle, my brother, we were told by . . . etc. etc.

They may well be true or not. I wasn’t there, so I don’t know.
They may well have been postulated by people who thought they deserved more attention from Andrew.
We don’t know.

I don’t defend AMW’s recent actions, but it’s like reading a witch hunt when his past and his family are dragged in by those basking in anonymity.

I have questions.
Tuliptree says she hopes a book by Fergie would be the end of the royal family, and others have spoken about bringing down the monarchy. Can someone explain to me exactly how this would happen? A motion in Parliament? A referendum? And does anybody really believe this would happen because of something a disgraced former duchess wrote in a book, ( presuming she is now a ‘former’ duchess)?
Then there’s the talk of paedophilia. Who has been proven to be a paedophile ( attracted to pre-pubescent children)? Vile and exploitative though he was, I don’t think Epstein was a paedophile.

And why would Andrew go to prison? Being a dirty,sleazy old man isn’t against the law.

I’d always thought he was given the trade envoy ‘job’ when he left the Navy. to try and fool us that he was useful - in fact he used it to feather his own nest snd was eventually sacked. During that period of course he was mates with JE and it appears that’s when he committed misconduct in public office , leaking govt info to him.

I read it was Jack Straw, who was then Foreign Secretary, and Patricia Hewitt, Trade and Industry Secretary who appointed him.
