True Maw, I take your point. Louise MB, (22 years), has grown and grown in poise and confidence. I believe she was a day pupil, not a boarder, (I might be wrong), so probably had a better life balance, and acquired everyday skills outside the stuffy school gates.

I remember watching an interview with E & B when they were at Marlborough. All very staged, very scripted, I think Fergie even sat with them and butted in. They were hardly allowed to breathe or offer their own opinions.

They had known Epstein since childhood, and I very much doubt if their parents had told them anything about their dubious dealing with him. I think they were unaware, and I don’t condemn them for their parents actions. There is nothing to suggest that either of them had an independent relationship with him as far as I’ve seen.

I think that their private family relationships should stay private, and if they choose to stand by their parents they should not be judged for that. Most of us will never know what we would do in those circumstances.

I also think that as their titles are entirely dependent on the position of their parents (well, their father) and they did nothing to achieve them, now that AMW is no longer a prince there is no reason why they should remain princesses. If they lose (or renounce) their titles, they should be left alone by the media, unless they are implicated in scandal in their own right, in which case they should get no special protection.

As members of the wider RF, there is no reason why they shouldn't be invited to weddings, funerals etc, but as family members, not as working royals.

They were no longer children, but they were just finding their feet at the time and maybe didn't have minds of their own. You have to put this into the context of the schools they attended too, which don't necessarily equip the child with knowledge of the real world.
I feel sorry for them, it will take a long time to heal.

I don’t agree. Marlborough is hardly a cloistered environment and B and E went on to get degrees from Goldsmiths in London and Newcastle university.
So they’d have been students at the time, not schoolroom misses.
Of course their sort of upbringing can be crippling, but look at Louise Mountbatten -Windsor for an example of a strong minded grounded and down to earth young woman.

And however bad Andrew and Fergie have been, they have always been a united pair with regards to their daughters.

There was never any of the ‘War of the Yorks’ like the ‘War of the Wales’ when they split up.

B&E never seemed to be affected by their parents divorce as did William and Harry.

No one has proposed stripping them of their titles.

Penny Smith suggested they voluntarily give them up, and lead a less public life.

Probably it’s part of the deal the King has had to make with his brother, allowing B&E to remain within the family, unlike their parents.

Horrible entitled parents. Here’s hoping the two daughters didn’t inherit their attitudes. It is good they are both married and can concentrate on their own immediate families rather than those two horrors.

All the more reason just to have a king or queen and let the rest earn their own money and do what they think is right or wrong and have no fame or titles or pots of gold.
The thing is I always got the impression they were both very loyal and loving to their parents so what a big old mess
Fergy and Andrew it seems deserve each other, maybe the girls need to concentrate on their own new families and move away a bit, at least press wise from their parents, thankfully neither live at home so separation can be seen.

One of the emails from Fergie to Epstein mentioned that she was waiting for Eugenie to come home after a sha**ing weekend. Why would you say that to anyone let alone one of the world's worst paedophiles? The girls must be very hurt, ashamed and disappointed with what has gone on. Stripping them of their titles would just be cruel..

How embarrassing this must be to those two Women.

Their names are now being raised. Am not sure why so will wait for further clarification. Until then I think is wrong to speculate. These young women must be mortified by what is being revealed about their parents and cannot help being their offspring.

What sort of mother takes her two daughters, whatever their age, to stay with a convicted paedophile. It just goes to show how desperate Fergie was for Epstein’s monetary support. It looks as if he was using the girls, through Fergie to entertain some of his rich clients ( not suggesting anything sexual). However, they were 19 and 20 so they must have been aware of his conviction so could have refused but,
as you say, they probably did what their mother told them to do.
It is a shame as they both have good marriages and children so don’t need to be dragged into this.
