Sad to read of this just now.
I do wonder how Meghan will respond. I suppose it’s a case of too little too late now.

She hasn’t given up her title

Meghan wanted the Disney fairytale wedding.
For someone marrying in her mid thirties, she showed great imaturaty in many areas but the most in trying to airbrush her half siblings out.
They will never get over that one.
She should have invited them and toleratedthem for the day, simple as that!

I thought she married only a few years back?

If she's 50 now - by the look of it...then...

Yep...saw the school photos etc that prove she's older than she says she is (by 6-7 years by the look of it).

Goodness, read what this says about the involvement of the Daily Mail.

I think Thomas Markle knew exactly what Meghans life style had been pre marriage, which may well have contradicted the style she was promoting. What if he spilt the beans??!! It is whispered that she and (Prince) Andrew were not strangers, so who knows what Thomas might have revealed. Or it could be that her family are just not grand enough for this social climber.

Exactly that. She is a snob.

It’s a pattern I’ve seen more than once🙁

It’s very sad💐

I don’t like the way his son used his father being critically ill to go to the press and say publicly that he hopes Meghan goes to see him. It should be private, but it seems that for publicity, anything goes for that entire family.

Yes it does.

Smileless2012 Tue 09-Dec-25 18:53:49

Ours did Lathyrus but I knew her parents and she didn't come from a stable loving family environment. Problem is she didn't like our family either tchhmm.

Lathyrus3 Tue 09-Dec-25 17:16:39

I think a lot of estranged parents will tell you that their son or daughters relationship began with the new partners tale of an unhappy childhood, a longing for a real family and the happiness in finding one in the (soon to be estranged🤔) family he or she has entered.

And then………….

The family Meghan never had, Harry said at the time.

Which indicates that Meghan already felt that she had an unhappy childhood, but also that Harry felt he had a family he valued to share with her.

She looks so unhappy.

Lathyrus3 Tue 09-Dec-25 17:06:55

I don’t think he can do that. The succession is a matter for Parliament, isn’t it.?

George 1 and 11 wouldn’t have been able to take the throne or Victoria.

Not to mention a whole bevy further back😬

CariadAgain Tue 09-Dec-25 17:02:10

Well - the latest thing coming up on social media - and it looks pretty credible to me - is that King Charles has signed a document re children that aren't raised in Britain (eg because they are raised in America) are not to be in the line of succession for the throne.

It feels pretty clear how things have been all round.

Anniebach Tue 09-Dec-25 11:00:10

Megan was divorced and living with a chef when she met Harry and living in Canada not with her family

SORES Tue 09-Dec-25 10:56:11

Lathyrus - as usual, a perceptive post from you.

SORES Tue 09-Dec-25 10:54:44

Thomas Markle is the male version in spirit of Mildred Pierce with Meghan adopting the Veda role of course, (asclose to venal as the author dare approach)

She was invited to spend Christmas at Sandringham before the wedding, not usual, Harry told the media how she loved being with his family, the family she told Oprah were racist

Mr Markle was thrust into a World He had no knowledge of,,
British royalty, Newspapers, Reporters, no guidance from his daughter or son in law, a son in law who has experienced the dirty tricks of the media.

eazybee Tue 09-Dec-25 08:05:54

Just dropped on this after reading a different post:
Catherine Earnshaw, although Harry isn't Heathcliff,
more Edgar Linton.
But how their actions have damaged other people's lives.

JenniferEccles Mon 08-Dec-25 23:03:55

I have read that the email mentioned was in fact sent by a member of Meghan’s team, not Meghan herself.
This saga gets even more unbelievable.

No phone call, or even a text but an email from an employee??

eazybee Mon 08-Dec-25 22:49:36

But she cut all contact with him following the wedding because he gave interviews. From the woman who was arranging interviews with Oprah very soon after her marriage, if not before. (not sure.)

CariadAgain Mon 08-Dec-25 22:32:46

In fairness - as I understand it - her father had a heart attack coinciding with the wedding and so was medically unable to be there.

That much at least can't be laid at her plate - though goodness knows at how much else can be by the look of it.....

Anniebach Mon 08-Dec-25 22:23:09

She invited her father to her wedding !
