Sad to read of this just now.
I do wonder how Meghan will respond. I suppose it’s a case of too little too late now.

CariadAgain there is no proof that Meghan was associated with Epstein.

The rumours were started by a US gossip journalist/UTuber Megyn Kelly.

Conspiracy theories abound on the web 🤦‍♀️

This thread is in danger of being slanderous. I wish people would not repeat rumours they have seen on dubious social media sites, as there is a risk of you being sued.

Remember Southpark’s skit “Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s “Worldwide Privacy Tour”. So funny!

And so fitting!

I accept it is my view Meghan controls Harry. But he is alienated from his family especially his brother and sister in law he adored. He is estranged from friends who were so important to him in the past. He spouts her brainwashed lies as though he believes them himself e.g. getting married three days before their actual wedding despite the Archbishop of Canterbury stating it was pure fiction. He mocks and belittles the Royal Family and the traditions that he once upheld. This all points to someone putting these thoughts in his head.

Kats2 Thu 04-Dec-25 14:02:39

I too think he should have done a lot more to encourage her to make amends with her father, especially as he flew to UK to see his own father when his cancer was reported… What a mean spirited person she really has turned out to be..especially after gushing about christmas and family and friends being important on her Netflix prog..

Calendargirl Thu 04-Dec-25 14:03:26

We haven’t heard much from the Sussexes since his security issues were turned down.

I think they are starting to wonder, (and worry) about what life will be like if and when the King dies, and William is in charge.

As we saw from the Andrew business, things can be changed with the stroke of a pen.

If Thomas Markle dies, I think some tears will be shed by Meghan, certainly in front of the camera.

Has Harry ever actually met his FIL?

If not, all a little too late.

Delila Thu 04-Dec-25 14:08:59

For all we know Meghan may have re-established contact with her father?

Chestnut Thu 04-Dec-25 14:32:01

I'm just wondering if Thomas has actually written a book revealing everything for publication after he's gone. There have been enough tell-all books and programmes sloshing around, maybe he would like to add his fuel to the fire. Imagine Meghan's warts and all life story hitting the shelves.

We know nothing about what has gone on behind the scenes, any more than anyone knows what goes on with our families behind the scenes. Let's not be judgemental and just leave her be. I hate this pilingnin.

So very true.

MarieElla Thu 04-Dec-25 15:17:22

Delila; I think we would know if Meghan was back in contact with her father. Someone would tell, either Thomas himself or her half sister', Samantha...or even the Sussex's spokesperson.

I am fascinated by this generalised hatred. Quite bizarre!
It is important to be clear about the couple and the media. They have no choice but to engage with the media because it hounds them - they cannot pretend it is not there. Sometimes they choose to do it on their own terms and who can blame them?
This 'couple' have every choice not to engage with the media, and one would have thought Harry in particular would have avoided the pursuing media, whom he still blames for his mother's death.
No -one told them to give interviews to Winfrey and others, produce films in which Meghan mocked royal traditions, or write their truly execrable books, The Bench, and Spare. They chose to leave Britain, complained when Canada wouldn't support their security, then did everything they could to make themselves the centre of attention.

They crave attention, but if it is not to their liking, they always have the option open to the very rich, of really seeking privacy and isolation.
I doubt the marriage would last another year.

Allsorts Thu 04-Dec-25 17:48:20

Best if she doesn't go to see her father, doubt she would anyway without a film crew and a huge cheque. To think Harry has any say in Megans missions is pure fancy. The couple have lied continuously and sold their soles

*We have every right to judge someone who has lied so often* - do we have that right?

We can judge someone when we know the full facts. We have no idea at all what life was like for Megan growing up nor how the rifts in their family developed.

I have no idea whether Megan is a wonderful person or a dreadful person - I suspect that, like the rest of us, she might be a bit of both. Or just somewhere in the middle.

I am happy to judge people like Johnson or Hitler who have caused untold general misery - but not the likes of Megan, who does no harm.

👏👏👏👏👏👏

sundowngirl Thu 04-Dec-25 17:52:42

I believe Megham has fine a lot of harm to the Royal family accusing them of racism!!!

sundowngirl Thu 04-Dec-25 17:52:59

Done not fine

As an estranged parent whose first GC was just 8 months old when we last saw him and we've never seen his younger brother (these are our only GC) I wouldn't want to see our ES if I was seriously ill.

The assumption is that he would want to see her; he may not want too.

Maremia Thu 04-Dec-25 18:19:33

Luckygirl13, I agree with your post.

I agree with you Luckygirl3. The family bringing this to the attention of the press seemingly is an attempt to either gain payment or to shame Meghan? There are no winners in such situations, apart from potential financial reward- not good.

MartavTaurus Thu 04-Dec-25 18:47:36

I'm not really interested in what is going on amongst the Markle family.
But what's all this on the News this evening with Harry on yet another American chat show embarrassingly talking about his royal ancestors and then Trump?

butterandjam Thu 04-Dec-25 19:13:42

merlotgran

Did he really betray her?
I think he was out of his depth and fell victim to those who just wanted to exploit the situation for the media.

His career was in TV, which is all about image and presentation. Far from being "out of his depth" in public media, he knew exactly how to work it for money and did. Not just once, over and over.

The apple hasn't fallen far from the tree.

I think Thomas Markle knew exactly what Meghans life style had been pre marriage, which may well have contradicted the style she was promoting. What if he spilt the beans??!! It is whispered that she and (Prince) Andrew were not strangers, so who knows what Thomas might have revealed. Or it could be that her family are just not grand enough for this social climber.

What a terrible insinuation?

What are you actually inferring re Meghan and Andrew?

Grams2five Thu 04-Dec-25 19:32:31

I don’t think any one of us should judge Meghan. It’s entirely her business and her half/sister appears every bit as vile as Meghan has been painted.

It’s no one else’s business but hers.

I agree and I’m no fan of her or Harry. As someone who has estranged family members I can honestly say no she may well not regret it. She doesn’t owe this man anything , and I hope she doesn’t feel she needs to do anything. A person dying doesn’t make them a different person.
