It came under the West Midlands Strategic Health Authority.

I'm not sure why the Trent area is relevant.

Allira, it was you who first referred to the Midlands. To clarify, I worked in Trent Region, I know how the NHS was configured, and am very familiar with the interface between Staffordshire and Derbyshire in particular). The point I was making was that even in the Midlands (which was two regions then, East and West Midlands) most people would not consider Stafford to be a deal breaker in terms of Andy Burnham’s reputation.

Thankfully she never got anywhere near winning the deputy leadership. Thornberry's condescending and snobbish attitude, once telling a Northern MP her constituents were more intelligent, are well known and she would struggle to win over voters.

Before the general election she said "Of course we're not going to concrete over the Green Belt.".

She’s very effective on committees. The legal training, I suppose.
