Should we charge the Gov with inherited tax

Is anyone else fed up with hearing the generic excuse from the government ministers “we inherited “ is it time we charged them with an INHERITED tax. Without fail we hear it with every interview, speech, debate or question time. Just wondered if others felt the same.
