Just a point - it is difficult at present to actually know whether you should or should not uphold the proscription as no body knows why they have been proscribed.

The speech of women has been under threat for over a decade, anyone worrying about that now has missed the boat by years.
There are organisations that protect free speech I am sure they would welcome new members, they however protect pretty much all speech and funds would go towards that.

You haven’t read the given info on “Palestine Action”, they have been active for several years

Palestine Action have used protest, occupation of premises, destruction of property, and vandalism, which sometimes resulted in its members being arrested. Palestine Action describes its actions as "non-violent yet disruptive", saying it has never hurt a human being.

That could describe many protest groups.

Perhaps because Palestine Action have been attacking Jewish businesses and homes that they are considered racist/antisemitic.
As we don't know fully why our security services think them a threat and won't be told I will just trust the government on this.

It's difficult to draw a line between legitimate protest and support for terrorism. I don't believe Yvette Cooper took the decision to proscribe PA lightly. The arrests by police are perfectly right.

I would be scared about my personal safety if I were to speak my mind where police are around. I can hardly believe that Britain is now a country where freedom of speech is against the law.

Yes the police are put in an impossible position with regard to policing protests, speech, etc.

My husband was killed protecting the personal safety of the public

There are plenty of pro Palestine marches and protests to join without supporting this group.
Anyone of any age will be arrested so stay away.

There is no question that Palestine Action is a violent group , it's clear that those who imagine it's a peaceful protest group are ompletely ignorant of PA's history and agenda. THIS is PA:

I would need details of this - ie which are the businesses attacked/when/damage details?. Otherwise why would I believe these attacks happened?

We, the people, make our decisions - the government represents what we have decided or would decide if we had full information.

After all - it's very well within living memory how they proved they don't represent us and we can't trust them.....2020...2020....

It is still legal to protest against the actions of Israel in Gaza, just don’t go to an organised rally in the name of Palestine Action Group or hold up banners with Palestine Action Group on them.

Well you’d think so wouldn’t you? But not according to some on here.Could this possibly be that because they themselves are pro Palestinian they consider any violent group which is against Israel is worth support ?
If not, and they say it’s all about free speech then would they themselves have sat around en masse holding placards which announced they supported the IRA or Hezbollah or supported those who did ?
There’s no excuse for it, none at all.

With free speech comes responsibility and in any case free speech doesn’t mean you can shout anything or wave a placard saying anything at all, surely you know this?
