I would have thought before she was appointed she would have gone through some sort of rigorous interview. What she has done is not illegal, but surely as a landlord she hardly demonstrated the right sort of ethos as to prospective legislation regarding the hiking of rent, do such people think their hypocrisy will not be exposed? or that's how he defines himself. God help his tenants, his flats were or maybe still are also infested with ants. What annoys me so much is that as a landlord of one flat, we have always endeavoured to comply with everything, inspections, getting the right safety certificates in place, fixing problems, whilst an MP who should lead by example, does the complete opposite and them claims he didn't know
As for the new initiative regarding the one in one out, I will wait to see how that pans out, I do think there will be lawyers waiting in the wings to possibly appeal those deportations. I guess it will become clearer further down the line. The friend I spoke to lives in Bournemouth where there are concerns, at the moment a migrant with settled status stands accused of raping a young woman in a public toilet and that case is awaiting trial. The Bournemouth friend has a cynical attitude towards successive governments and as to how they are handling the migrant crisis, Bournemouth has been accommodating them back before Labour got in, and there have been problems!
