It was a deliberate incitement to violence perpetuated by a performer desperate for publicity, in front of a huge crowd hyped up on a hot day, in a situation which could easily become to dangerous.
The parallels with stupid Lucy Connolly are there but it seems unlikely this idiot will be punished; everyone is far too busy showing how terribly broadminded they are.
They will not be punished, BBC has again apologised so they are safe.
Lucy Connolly encouraged a rioting mob to set fire to a hotel housing innocent people, including children.. it is a miracle no-one died.
Bob Vylan lead a chant to a crowd of festival goers about an organisation in a different country, an organisation that is, according to international courts, engaged in war crimes and genocide. No-one there was in the IDF, no-one there was in any way about to attack the IDF, and it is against a background of many many of the performers making statements in support of the Palestinian people. They could have chosen better words, but there was no-one being violent, and no-one there to be violent against.
There are no parallels.
Here is one for you though. People are howling for a chant at at peace festival to be prosecuted.... while at the same time British citizens can go to Israel, join the IDF, kill children, laugh about it on social media, and then come back here as child killers without anyone batting an eyelid.
Who worries you more?
