There were plenty of hospitals and clinics in Gaza for women to have access to family planning methods.

Why is it so crowded? Partly because many people in Gaza are refugees from other towns which over the years have been ‘taken’ ( by force) by Israel. If these refugees were allowed back to their homes the Gaza Strip woukd not be so overcrowded but Israel will not allow their return to homes and lands which have been taken over by the Jewish population. The only places they can find are in one of the the refugee camps in Gaza.
Families are large babies are born, that increases the population but it is not possible to leave for elsewhere, there is no freedom to do so.

I think it's important to add that Gaza is practically a prison camp for Palestinian refugees or perhaps a ghetto would be a better word. They don't have freedom to leave, they cannot even leave by sea as Israel only allows them to be 15 nautical miles from shore. There is no airport and the two exits into Israel and the one into Egypt are heavily policed.

2.3 million people, minus about 60,000 now dead, were tightly squeezed into the whole of tiny Gaza, how on Earth can they all be pushed into a corner of the south and survive.

My opinion for what it’s worth is that Israel wants the palistinians out permanently, so it can take their land for its own people. They are already marketing coastal areas in gaza as luxury properties for sale to wealthy American friends and others with cash. The land is not theirs to sell.

The population density is less than that of other small countries in the world, but yes, of course they should not be squeezed into an even smaller area.

No nerve touched Oreo but tbh I don't think RS is beloved by Socialists of any type, he's very much a Capitalist IMO. He's not beloved by me but I have respect for him which is a very different matter. I don't have to agree with someone to respect their views.
