Israel is the spear that kills Palestinians but the US and its allies are the arm that thrust the spear. Netanyahu is America's servant.
do you still buy BBC radio times?
- without warning, in the middle of the night- in the middle of Ramadan.
NOTHING.
Israel is the spear that kills Palestinians but the US and its allies are the arm that thrust the spear. Netanyahu is America's servant.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. While Israel has the support of the USA they have no incentive to stop the killing.
Netanyahu is defending Israel from further attacks no he isn't, he's committing genocide while the world looks on.
Mostly women and children , can this be because the men hide
in the Hamas tunnels? They were certainly not malnourished
when the hostages were first released, they were definitely loud and bursting with energy
It won't stop until Israel (and Trump) get what they want- the whole land incl. West Bank and the rest- for them and not a single Palestinian left- Then they can divide up the riches, make the new Canal planned for decades ...
but they will never ever get peace, and they probably will take us all down with them.
Those poor babies will join the poor children dying at one every 30 minutes since October 23.
2100 babies and toddlers have so far been killed.
That figure does not include older children, which stands at nearly 20000
These figures are taken from Euro-Med human rights monitor.
The main reason that Netanyahu has broken the truce, and yes it is Israel that is not following the agreement that was made to enable the peace process to move into phase 2, is that he needs to get his budget through the Knesset. He can only get it through with the support of the far right who have said they won't support him unless he continues the war. So the bottom line is very simple. The lives of Gazans are being used to keep Netanyahu in power. Many Israelis are opposed to what Netanyahu is doing, many want peace with a focus on bringing the remaining hostages home either alive or dead, many will vote Netanyahu out of office given the chance. If they can get him out of office, he'll probably go to jail for corruption.
I don't support Hamas, I was sickened by the attack on 7/10 but how this killing of Palestinian children and women, depriving them of food and medical attention etc can be seen as justified or necessary is totally beyond me!
Everything is down to hamas, what they did and what they continue to do.It won’t stop until they give up what little power they have left.

It’s clear to me Israel wants to clear the land of Terrorists , should they wait for more repeats of October 2023 ?
So babies and children are terrorists? Or just collateral damage?
Do explain what were the two babies and their mother taken as
hostages by Hamas ?

Petra Yes I knew that. It was to make all the people excusing Hamas to think!
It could all stop today if hamas released any hostages that are still alive and the bodies of those they have murdered and what’s left of hamas agreed to step down and melt away into the general population.
They know they will never be allowed to continue on in a position of power in Gaza, they’re finished as a political arm of hamas and all they can now ever be is what they really are, a terrorist organisation.
The bombing now is tragic but not done for malicious reasons as suggested by a poster above but to get hamas to realise they must hand over hostages with no more messing about.
Hamas attacked Israel, Netanyahu is defending Isreal from further attacks

Netanyahu calls strikes on Gaza only the beginning
Nobody excuses Hamas but I can't excuse Israel either.
It's clear to me that Netanyahu wants to kill all Palestinians to clear the land for Israelis.
I blame Hamas and Netanyahu - neither are thinking of their people, neither care about the appalling loss of life of innocents, there are innocents on both sides.

I feel stunned, saddened, and furious for the poor bloody babies and children now seen covered in blood and grime shivering with one limb missing, whilst parents weep with despair, if the parents are still alive that is, has almost become normalised, business as usual in Gaza. Between 400 and 600 killed, is a massacre by any standards and just for an issue with the truce that only needed more dialogue to iron out.
And of course my heart goes out to the families of hostages surely expecting more to be released soon. They will certainly not feel that this action by Netanyahu was necessary and such intense bombing increases the chances of the hostages being hit or buried alive.
I too feel this way and it’s so so tragic and unnecessary.

lixy I do understand, I truly believe the horrors of the October atrocities were the final acts of hatred of Jews by Muslims, I wish it wasn’t so but antisemitism is and always has been at the root of the persecution of Jews.
A poster has referred to the increase of antisemitism across the world, there has been no attacks caused by the war on Ukraine,
a police officer in England spoken of a Jew as being ‘openly Jewish’ this was last year .
Anniebach I meet friends and family off the flights from Tel Aviv at Luton airport. There is usually someone loitering and shouting abuse at the passengers as they come through the arrivals gate. It is a dreadful ‘welcome’ to the UK. Sometimes security staff move the abusers on, but they are always there next time. So yes, though I am not Jewish I do understand a little about antisemitism.

I do not think of the Holocaust as an excuse
What Hamas did 18 months ago was inexcusable and I never understood their rationale. It just ignited the remorseless powder keg that is Israel.
The revenge Israel is wreaking is of Biblical proportions and however much we feel for the descendants of those who survived the Holocaust I cannot bring myself to find any excuse.
I am not pro Palestinian or anti-Semitic but this is simply and terribly wrong.

I haven't seen anyone excusing Hamas
Not sure where you got this idea!
We know he's been talking to Trump Wyllow.
Didn't Trump say he knew in advance?

As was my comment. They are the forgotten ones now 😥
The parading of the released hostages was vile, the cheering from the Palestinians was acceptable, the Palestinians who we were told were malnourished ?
Babs03 - Dreadful!

Why didn't Hamas release all the hostages?
In hostage release negotiations those questions don’t tend to be asked of the captors, the emphasis is upon safely securing the release of your nationals which is an extremely delicate and dangerous process. Obviously dropping bombs on the captors when a truce has simply been questioned hasn’t helped.
However, I imagine your question was disingenuous.
