I have absolutely no issue with transgenders though, I know two. As I say labelling a whole cohort of people like this is just as bad as saying any other cohort or minority groups are ALL a danger to women.

Maybe blame govts and councils for being too quick to jump on the bandwagon of changing things.

I am a woman, proud of being a woman, but frankly I really really don’t care what language other’s choose to use. I’ll call “them” them, she, he or by their given or assumed name. Not if it loses you ever election it isnt, and if it means those who would normally support you wouldnt dream of voting for you. I dont think trust is a small issue I think it is fundamental in politics, and if as a party your misogyny is such that you put men in prisons with some of the most vulnerable women then I cant possibly support you. I also think that what has happened to children will be seen historically as one of the greatest medical blunders of all time, so no I dont think it will be seen as a small issue. I think that historians etc will be analysing it for years to come.

I don't think it's a secret that I share many of Galaxy's concerns in this area. What I will say is we are constantly told it's a tiny number of people so can anyone explain why the language for the great majority has had to be changed, and why that largely only applies to terms used to describe women and their bodily functions.?.... people who menstruate, people with a cervix, chest feeding, birthing person, people with vaginas......etc etc. I've yet to see a poster or article advising 'people with a prostate' ......

So yes this is the 'stopped clock' moment when I don't have a problem with Trump's announcement regarding males in female spaces. The rest, well I've not heard one other thing I agree with him on. And as for his interference in the Middle East's proposals for Gaza, I think he should keep his nose out.

Hang on Wyllow3 cancer research is worldwide. The Uk has small companies designing new methods for the delivery of cancer treatments. It’s ongoing and Trump can’t stop invention nor do I imagine that he wants to.

The reality - for many, cancer treatment has not been adequate, and with the cuts in medicaid, many are will not get adequate treatment, and Trump has cut research for cancer.

Yes Cossy so far he is. Trump has certainly shaken up the EU and Uk forcing them to pay more for its own defence. That’s good surely?
Trump also is questioning the legitimacy of climate science- science needs to be questioned it’s not actually a religion.
If Ukraine can agree to consider not fighting for years into the future that’s good too.

It’s good that the EU and UK are more closely aligned, I agree, and I agree UK needs to spend more on defence.

I don’t think Trump is anywhere near bright or educated enough to question science, though I agree questioning things in a logical manner is always good, I question though whether Trump looks at evidence, weighs up both sides and reaches evidential conclusions.

It’s not Ukraine that needs to stop fighting, or as most of us describe it, defending itself, it’s Russia.

Wow that is some read. Lots of philosophising and wrapping up in fancy paper and bows Trump’s fascist ideology.
With the occasional mention of Gods, as if Trump is in fact divine.
Nice to know how very wrong we all were and how very blessed with rightness Trump as his cronies are.
I don’t think that any of us would hold up any government thus far as particularly good at representing the ordinary people.
But progress around this will not come from the far right but the likes of Bernie Sanders.
