What amazes me after the monumental scandal over Catholic priests, is that any cleric could imagine that it’s all right to sweep such matters under the carpet.
Of course he should go.

The moment he knew what was going on without taking any action was the moment he was equally culpable. He should go.

King Charles, as the Head of the Anglican Church, is the only one who can sack him?

I'm sure it would be a formality if it was recommended by Crown Appointments committee to the Prime minister who will advise the King.

This is what they should be recommending, or perhaps he will go of his own accord before he's pushed.

All the young people ( teenagers) that were there that day were chosen because they had worked so hard to get out of some really dark places.
I could cry when I know what some of them are feeling.
They are of an age to know exactly what’s being said and written about him.
It’s possible that lots of them are thinking whats the f%##+@g point and I wouldn’t blame them.

Bishops, and presumably arch bishops, are appointed by the prime minister after taking advice from a committee whose name escapes me. Not sure anyone could sack an arch bishop.

The Monarch appoints the Archbishops, Bishops and Deans, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister who is advised by the Crown Appointments Commission
