Well I definitely challenge Judy Bloom's posting that Farage represents the silent majority. He no doubt represents the silent majority of racist bigots who want to hide their appalling views in the hope that they can actually get some m p's and then begin to spout their revolting attitudes. I am very pleased that the majority of people I know, speak to, or debate with, do not have any truck with his views, and it is just good to see that they have been caught out and recorded spouting their poison. All Farage can do is to say that he would have expelled them! Well I am so pleased they have been heard saying these things so that decent people are reminded of the attitude of this group and make sure that they never get in as an mp anywhere.

What is it that attracts racists, Islamaphobes, homophobes and general bigots to Nigel Farage?
(865 Posts)I’ve pinched this question from James O’Brian. And to me it is obvious, - they are fascists - talking about replacing the police with paramilitaries and bringing back the death penalty as well as shoot f….g immigrants has huge echoes of 1930s Germany.
So why would you vote for him?

The far right - Tommy Robinson and a lot of others of his ilk are supporting Reform.
He’s been arrested in Canada….how ashamed I am that he’s from my country.

Allegedly Andrew Parker is an actor.
Is this a stitch up ?But he didn't deny what he said and claimed he used the words he did because he's an "old git". He hasn't denied that he meant what he said. He's just sore that he was caught out.
I didn’t say he had denied anything.
I didn't claim you did, but I don't see that his being a part-time actor is relevant. He wasn't stitched up. He was caught out.

As I said, limpets attaching themselves to a ship. They are homeless and can't vote for any of the others because they are all left wing.
Eh? Are the Conservatives really left-wing?

How have you come to the conclusion that I can’t see that Chestnut? Do you think we should have a far left wing party too for balance?
We have several left wing parties. I never said far right or far left because either would be unbearable. Reform are right wing not far right. People don't seem to understand the difference.
I absolutely do understand the difference and Reform are far right wing Chestnut, anything further right would be outright fascist. That’s why I’m shocked, when people excuse Nigel Farage for what he says because he is outwardly personable. You’d have thought a lesson would have been learned about that from Boris Johnson, but it appears not. If you mean by far left the Workers Party of Great Britain, the support is minimal - but if one should have a voice, so should the other. Do you support PR?
Far right is fascist as you say and Reform are not far right. Tommy Robinson is far right, Jeremy Corbin is far left. You seem to have a very low bar for the term 'far right'.
I don’t have a low bar at all, I have a moderate bar, which judges people purely on what they say. Jeremy Corbyn has no party, and possibly no seat in parliament either after the election, so he is an outdated choice for far left, surely?
You didn’t say if you support PR, which would give any party which had more than 1/650 supporting them a seat.

From the BBC website
A spokesperson for Channel 4 News has issued a response, saying: "We strongly stand by our rigorous and duly impartial journalism which speaks for itself.
“We met Mr Parker for the first time at Reform UK party headquarters, where he was a Reform party canvasser.
"We did not pay the Reform UK canvasser or anyone else in this report. Mr Parker was not known to Channel 4 News and was filmed covertly via the undercover operation.”

Nigel Farage stood up for Putin recently and said it was the Western countries fault he invaded Ukraine. For that alone he disgusts me

I said as much when the story broke.
Disclaimer I am not a supporter of Reform U.K. but I am in favour of fairness, and dislike underhand tactics and smear campaigns which seem prevalent in this election.
Why are racists so embarrassed about admitting they are? I have never met a racist, I don't think they really exist. I've met and read of many who say "I'm no racist but..." However, I've never come across anyone who says "I'm racist and proud of it". Isn't that strange? Are racists really an urban myth?

So, Nicenanny, Primrose, Oreo et al, are you happy to hear our Prime Minister referred to as a fxxxxxx pxxx?
Do you feel that this Reform supporter speaks for you? Speaks for the " silent minority "?
Does my disgust at people suggesting young members of the forces should use boats full of people as target practice make me ""woke" or a " pearl clutcher"?
Of course not, I'm just as disgusted as you. This was a smear campaign by the MSM.

There are fascists and racists in all political parties. Nigel Farage is NOT racist, he speaks the truth about the terrible state this country is in and getting worse.
It is about time that Farage bashing was ceased. Have you lot nothing better to do? So sad!
Primrose 53 I think Ben Habib is great! He is one of the best guests on GB News. Always polite, always bright and cheerful and super intelligent.
I agree he's great, the housewife's favourite on GB news 😊
I made a note in my journal at the beginning of this election that towards the end it would get very nasty. It has.
