What an absolute twit the man is. Interesting for one who doesn’t like the limelight ( or so he says ).

I rarely bother getting involved in royal family threads, but I want to point out that he’s not a twit for doing this: it is absolutely right that the press is held accountable, and its actions tested to prove or disprove their legality.

And of course he won’t enjoy it. Anybody who has faced cross-examination from a skilled barrister (or who has observed it in court) will know it’s unpleasant and uncomfortable, no matter how much in the right one is - and none of know that about this case yet, otherwise there would be no need for a court case.

Siope is correct in my opinion. Phone hacking was beyond disgusting, and those using their fame and money to fight it (like Hugh Grant etc) are doing us all a favour.

I think it takes courage, especially when you know the media will scrutinise you.

Its not that he doesn't like "the lime light". He doesn't like all of the misreporting and lies which the media peddle. He is totally right to stand up for himself against the toxic British press.

He learned how to play the press at his mother’s knee.

Where ever he learned it from, doesn't make it right and makes his desire to sue those who've done the same to him somewhat hypocritical.

Funny isn't it. There are all these posts about how M&H just want money and publicity. Harry could have settled this out of court and pocketed thousands, just like his brother William did. Instead he has taken the matter to court and in doing so has spoken up for all those who couldn't afford to do it. Wishing he does badly is just petty.

I would possibly have a wee bit of sympathy for Harry if, despite his outrage at the invasion of his own privacy, he hadn't consistently driven a coach and horses through the privacy of his own close family, and made an absolute fortune from it in the process. The hypocrisy is truly monumental... and it continues.

It’s not about ‘misreporting’. It’s about whether or not some media organisations used illegal methods to find information about public figures.

Because the Press was wrong to do this doesn't mean he is not manipulating the Press now and using the media to trash the reputations of his family, friends and Army colleagues.

I think phone hacking is despicable, and I’m glad he’s taking the press to court. I’d even support him winning his case.
If he wins, so much the better for others who can’t afford to sue. Maybe he’ll even give his winnings to others less financially able to sue.

I wonder if it has dawned on the press yet. that they could have had enough to fill their pages without being sued, if they’d just waited for his book and TV interviews etc.

Given the chequered history of them ,for centuries,I'd be inclined to believe Harry !

But the press weren't to know that Harry would in fact trash his own family and behave with calculated cruelty to his once much loved dying grandparents, (phoney racism among other things) cause his father deep sorrow, humiliate and trash the privacy of his own brother and SIL and so on. I doubt his mother would be proud of him. Disgusting man ,I hope he loses big time and runs back to America with his tail between his legs and never comes near this country again.

I veer in my views of Prince Harry between "an utter tick" and "rather sorry for someone who's not benefitted from any mental health support he's accessed, so that he pings around like a bagatelle ball".

However, if he has been the victim of hacking or other illegal ways of finding out "news", then I support him 100% - in the court case.

It doesn't matter if/that any of the stories about him show him to be the tick I often think him, the issue is about privacy and legality.
