I was not being racist when I said Sunak has not a drop of British blood. I was merely stating a fact. My dear late husband was Indian.
What words annoy you when used wrong or people don't know the meaning of?
Good Morning Friday 10th July 2026
Talk about extraordinary moments in history.....
I was not being racist when I said Sunak has not a drop of British blood. I was merely stating a fact. My dear late husband was Indian.
She and her cronies can do one, Rishi said this would happen. She always looked out of place anyway, she mist have had a strong sense of imposter syndrome as was just not cut out for the job. I'm glad she's spared us from more harm. Good riddance
Her finest moment was her last. Yes, feel a bit sorry for her, but she was idiotic, and punching above her weight. She has also done masses of damage, and that will be felt by ordinary people while she trots off into history with over £100,000 per year salary, hereafter.
Which bit of GENERAL ELECTION do these Self-servatives not get?

I don’t know who or what The Blob is but I wish it would go away and give ordinary hardworking families a chance.
The Blob is the invention of people who don't want to take responsibility for their actions, ronib, "The Blob made me do it"
As 'The Blob' in this case was the financial markets who thought very little of her budget, I think that it's time that these right wing commentators grew up and faced reality instead of whingeing when the world does things they don't want it to do.
When you say 'hardworking families', are you referring to those bankers whose bonus cap has been removed? Or the wealthy ones who were going to have the 45p rate of tax removed? Because, apart from the energy price cap, there was practically nothing in Truss's budget for anyone else...

Truss was one of the most boring, insensitive and self serving PMs we have ever had - good riddance. But Boris? Really?
I can think of only one advantage.
We, the taxpayer, wouldn't have to fork out for redecorating No 10. Unless Liz has been busy with a wallpaper stripper.

Yes and with a huge pay packet!!
Former PMs don’t get pay or a pension. What they can do is claim up to £115,000 for their ‘expenses in carrying out public duties’.
Coincidentally, previous PMs claimed almost exactly that amount ( apart from Theresa May, who is still an MP, and claimed a mere £57,000)I heard on the radio a couple of days ago that as long as an exPM has served at least 60 days they can claim a lifelong pension of £150,000 a year for life! Surely that can’t be right? Think I need to do some research.
It's not a pension, it's an expenses allowance. Apparently some ex PMs claim it, some don't.
There's a thread about it on here.

Anyone considering bringing that numptie back must themselves be a numptie
I don't feel sorry for her as she was eaten up with ambition and was never up to being any sort of Minister, let alone Prime Minister.
Many who have worked with her have said she never listens to advice because she thinks she knows best. Her arrogance and that of her 1st Chancellor have landed them where they belong - back on the back benches.
IMHO those who feel sorry for her should instead feel sorry for those who were hoping to get on the housing ladder who may now not be able to afford a mortgage.
Shameful!
In a word Good !
Need a good Business man running this country
Not these pantomime wannabes
Her class and sex let her down
? not sure what that means?
Class?
Anyone wishing to return Mr Johnson as the PM must have extremely short memories. Scandal after scandal. Lie after lie. Even lying to the Queen over suspending Parliament. For further reference:
1 He obtained the worst Brexit deal imaginable.
2 He did not obtain the vaccine. Scientists made the vaccine. The vaccine was given by our own NHS staff on top of their normal jobs.
3 He bought in excessive amounts of the vaccine meaning we had too much & other countries did not have enough.
4 He is still being investigated by the Privileges Committee for additional law breaking.
5 He made the rules, didn’t stick by his own rules and was fined by the Police. Remember again our sadly departed Queen. A small, hunched figure at her husband’s funeral. Her family did adhere to the rules whilst Downing St were partying till 4am that morning.
6 He resigned because in the end, nearly 60 of his own Tory MPs wrote letters of no confidence. They could simply not keep defending his atrocious behaviour day after day after day.
So return Mr Johnson as PM? I don’t think so, unless you wish to condone his immoral ways.
And a car. So it was said on radio 4

Bring Boris Back!
But who planted and why? Monty Don it wasn’t….
I certainly did not feel sorry for her. She should not have applied for the role in the first place. She was totally out of her depth. She has made our country a laughing stock. Cannot believe they are saying the Liar Boris Johnson will be back .Unbelievable.
Bring back Boris, remember he got us out of Europe!, got us through the pandemic, got us to be the first country with a vaccine !
She was just a plant, was never going to stay there. That’s why she was smiling with relief that she had played her role. Machiavellian Machinations .
Anthony Seldon Gb news suggests Johnson is not the unity candidate and Liz Truss had exactly the right economic policies but needed to wait 2 years to implement them. My husband said she wasn’t going to be given 2 years, therefore the rush to push through now! The Blob struck. I don’t know who or what The Blob is but I wish it would go away and give ordinary hardworking families a chance.
Only MPs can request a GE, so if you want this write to your MP.
yeh...Blimey she's gone...carry on jeering.
she was aggressively pushed. Wasn't given a chance. She acted really fast to give assurances to everybody that their energy prices would be capped for two years. The pressures were enormous, we went into mourning for the queen for a couple of weeks as soon as she was elected. The tax cuts in the future didn't spook the market, her massive borrowing to pay for the energy bills did. Only John McDonnell wanted to be as generous.
Now we have austerity with Hunt and people are cheering.
And no she didn't cry as Thatcher and May did when they were pushed out. She was very dignified and strong considering the onslaught against her.
She gave too much to too many. Her class and sex let her down, now we have a multi-millionaire chancellor (Hunt recently sold his company for 15 million) as he makes 'eye watering' cuts to the poor. And everyone's baying for billionaire Sunak to step in. Even Johnson is on his way back from Caribbean holiday. So three highly privileged public schoolboys, two from Eton are back on top.
