Having hired a press secretary to present our government's message to the world, they have now unveiled a White House style press briefing room which has cost us (taxpayers) no less than £2,600,000.
The lectern is backed by four union jacks but the technical part of the renovations were carried out by Megahertz, a Moscow-based firm that has completed technical work for Russia Today, a state-controlled broadcaster. The company’s work reportedly included installing computers, cameras, microphones and a control desk.
