Just saw it, lockdown has highlighted the dregs of society.

Whitty just ignores him. That bloke deserves a medal for all he does and that lowlife has the nerve...

The behaviour of some low lifes never ceases to amaze me, if that's the right word.

There seems to be a culture of certain idiots doing things like this be it to celebrities or over race or culture.
I really don't get what they gain from it beyond a few seconds of "fame"
Sadly, when and if the police catch up with him, he will probably only get a slap on the wrist - community service seems to have been mothballed

The best thing we can do is ignore the idiot doing the mocking. He really doesn't understand. I think Prof Whitty did the dignified thing by ignoring him, and so should we.

My blood was boiling when I watched that,and watched it, in fury, many times.. It becomes obvious,that it’s a mock up. Whitty,is stopped by a stall holder with a question,and if you look carefully,he is talking back to that person.
The pond life that ‘mashed’ it together,isn’t there, but put himself in later.
That Chris Whitty,probably the most powerful man in Britain currently, stopped,put a mask on, and interacted with an everyday guy,is testament to his modesty and genuine passion for his work! All hail Whitty!!??

I couldn't watch it. I did read the whole article and gathered enough to be angered and upset.

What also angered me also was this is in the article Healthcare and police chiefs warned last month that lives were being put at risk and the care of patients disrupted by a spate of hospital incursions from Covid deniers whose online activity is channelling hatred against NHS staff. I was so sorry for the staff at Derby Royal Infirmary on the news a few days ago. They were so upset at having to walk past this mocking every day as they entered the hospital.

What a disgrace! Kudos to Prof Whitty for keeping his cool (and eating takeaways!) and let’s hope that waste of oxygen who abused the prof gets his collar felt by the police sooner rather than later.

Attention seeking behaviour by a low life. Chris Whitty is a man I really admire and respect. Also it upsets me when inexcusable human behaviour is compared to animal behaviour. Animals do not behave in this way only certain humans do.

I have just watched it. It looks to me like the idiot has recorded a voice over and is not actually there.

I do hope that the media won’t make it worse by reporting or reposting it everywhere. I would hate to see it in the news today. It gives the thug the fame he seeks.

Actually, when I’ve looked at the video (I didn’t realise that was the one at the top of the article, but rather one of Prof Whittey speaking to the public at a briefing), I don’t think that individual was actually there speaking to the Professor but as some posters say, I think he did a voice over. Listening to him, I doubt he would have been brave enough to actually confront the Professor face to face. What an obnoxious individual.

That moron should be injected with a big dose of the virus.
