The next election is four years away by which time a lot of dust will have settled, new UK/Worldwide issues will have arisen and the electorate will decide which leader and party is most likely to deal effectively with them for the greater good of all. I very much doubt, by the next election, the electorate as a whole will give a stuff about the Whip being withdrawn/restored from/to various people across the parties. It certainly wasn't top of the agenda for me when I voted last time.
