POGS, agree. Of course nobody wishes him or his family anything other than good health. But what now for the country?

Oh no. Is that in case he needs to go on a ventilator?

Things are looking certainly extremely precarious not only for him a d his family but the country also.

This is getting scary now, he's not old and doesn't, as far as we know, have a previous health condition. My auntie died today of corona virus - granted she was 92 and had underlying problems, but it's all getting to be overehelming.

Sirryvbut why are others attacking posters and assuming their good wishes are not “genuine”? Who decides that? Just because we dislike his politics doesn’t mean we don’t wish him a speedy recovery.

I hope Boris gets well soon. I feel sorry for him, he was elected, dealt with the headache of Brexit, became engaged and his fiancé is expecting their baby in early summer. I think he has shown leadership in that he is instructing the country on how to deal with this virus, and is making sure we are all briefed every day. Get well soon.

Me too. Constant criticism but how do you keep everyone safe but then their lives are destroyed anyway when the economy is so damaged. Such a difficult thing. I admire him and he is not deciding himself. There are many MP’s making group decisions. Hope he recovers soon.

What ever the arguments are, about what this thread was intended for, use a bit of common and think of the posters who are genuinely worried about Boris health.

Start your own thread for discussions if you like.

Those who don't feel up to reading argy bargy at the moment can then choose.

Surely now is the moment to exercise some restraint, and think instead, in terms of consideration and kindness to those posting on Gnet, and put aside the need to discuss/argue/complain

It is what is known as having a common respect for understanding the value of ' the time and the place'.

Another analogy would be when someone tries to imply empathy or liking for something or someone and then throws in the curve ball of showing their true feeling by usung ' however' or ' but'.

I have been praying for Boris Johnson. I think he has handled this crisis admirably but he is obviously much more poorly than we were originally led to believe. I hope he is able to get a good rest and let other members of the cabinet take charge until he has recovered enough to take over once again.

I hope the nursing staff remember that Boris and his pals voted against giving them a pay rise not too long ago.

Criacon. What do you mean by that? You hope that they ignore his care needs? That they abuse him as he lays in his hospital bed? Fortunately, the vast majority of nurses are professional enough to treat all patients equally.

Get well soon. I really hope he's going to be ok. I agree he has looked poorly lately. Hope his girlfriend and baby are ok too. I got fed up with the news so I stopped watching it but now I'm back watching just to see if Boris is getting better. Scary times for all of us.

Oh well said GD 1943. We may have political differences, but from one human being to another it's nice that we can wish anyone, and I mean anyone, struck down with this awful virus, however it happened, a speedy recovery.
