So true. Social justice warriors who are determined to find racism where none exists are creating so much division and it’s all coming from middle class, white liberals. This from a black man. There are some fanatics on here and it’s quite fascinating to read how entrenched they are in their assertion that we’re all racists.

Quite a lot of people on here AREN'T racists actually. To be honest, on this WHOLE site (rather than just on the contentious threads) I would say there are less racists than those that ARE.

However, there are an entrenched minority that are not just ignorant (because that implies they don't know better) but that are willfully so.

It would be if the colour of the skin of said politician was of concern or interest for making considered opinions of said MP then racism may be a possibility.

I do not have to learn anything because my views are NOT motivated by the colour of an MP' s skin, you however do and attribute the same to others.

As I said previously on various threads certain posters are throwing around accusations of posters being equivalent to Nazis or racist because they intentionally go out of their way to twist, misrepresent posts and think they can do so because it must be the case ' because they say so.'

I was at a private school. We had children from all backgrounds. Different faiths, nationalities, colour etc etc

My parents never mentioned anything remotely racist and happily entertained whoever I brought home with me

Oopsminty, I have for several days now resisted posting in this thread in total disgust at the way the substance of the debate has turned on continual accusations of racism between forum members.

Should it be possible to debate on this forum British public attitudes in the post-second world war decades then I would happily contribute.

I do hold strong views in regard to people judging previous historical actions by today's standards, which I believe would make for an excellent thread.

However, I am very busy workwise at the moment and therefore feel I could not open such a thread and give it the attention I feel that opening posters should, but as stated I would contribute as much as my time allows to such a thread.

However, and with every respect, I will not be contributing further to this thread which I feel has descended to the lowest level of debate that I have ever witnessed since being a member of this forum.

POGS, don't be so silly. If you are of a certain vintage and white British you will have been affected be negative images and words for many many years. It will have gone in at some level.
