But no sign of The second coming

In his Reith lectures this year Jonathon Sumption reminded us that a democratically elected government is able to vote for and implement undemocratic measures and take undemocratic action.

The announcement made by several of the leadership contenders that they would prorogue Parliament to get Brexit through is an example of just that.

As I said we have sometime to wait for the second coming, but Yeats has presciently described the present situation.
