The joke that was posted was not offensive, it was just a parody of so many of the Daily Mail articles which really are offensive. But I am sure that those who complained were already aware of that.
I'm not so sure we should blame this woman for going to the media. I like to think I wouldn't do it but they could be paying her money she really needs. Also she won't have had media training and I doubt anything in her life has prepared her for this situation. So many situations where we can't know how we would react because until it happens to us.
A similar thing I don't understand is all those tributes at Cardiff football ground for a player who hadn't yet started training for them let alone played a match. Florists must be pleased.
I totally get laying flowers as a tribute and mark of respect, the young mans sister visited he football ground yesterday and I pray she found comfort in the tributes to her brother.
I do understand it, people do now lay flowers following a tragedy , the death of a young man is a tragedy . A fractured wrist is painful and inconvenient for a while but not a tragedy.
I feel sorry for this woman. She is in this situation through no fault of her own and she is being led down a path that she may well regret later. I don’t know her or her circumstances but I can understand how she may well have been caught up in the moment. I can’t criticise her for that. It was a horrible accident and everyone concerned must be still badly shaken. The debris from the crash is being sold on eBay.
I am sorry she was hurt, but it was her choice to give interviews to the press and on tv and now have a private letter published on the front page of a newspaper
If I had an accident whether it was my fault or not I wouldn't complain that the other party hadn't called me to see how I am ….. that's ridiculous. And now he has written a letter she has sold the contents to the highest bidder - needy or not - that smacks of wanting her minute of fame.
I can't believe how this lady is acting. And I haven't heard of anyone writing a letter of apology after an accident. guilty or not. Its all so ridiculous. Accidents happen all the time.
