Hate the dark nights. By Christmas the day seems over by 4.30. I think I shall hibernate.

I hate, loathe and dread the clocks changing. I get jet lag! Especially in spring. It takes a good week to get over it!

It makes sense to me to have darker mornings for travelling to school when children are fresh rather than darker evenings when they're tired and inattentive. So BST all year for me.

I love the long dark evenings and the cold.

I quite like the long dark evenings. All the lights on in the houses around, and us warm and cosy in our own house.

If we just had British Summer Time all year round, then we would not have Greenwich Mean Time in Greenwich. That sounds a bit silly to me.

I count down until The Winter Solstice and then check the time street lamp across from our house lights up,
I think it's 3 minutes later every night.
By February we are back to lighter evenings instead of dark afternoons.

I think in the 70s there was an experiment in not changing the clocks but obviously it was not a success. I lived in the north of Scotland then and children were issued with reflective vests as it was still dark when they were going to school.
The choice is darker mornings or darker evenings. Now I am retired I would prefer darker mornings but that would not suit everyone.

I am on night duty on Saturday night, so I will be working a 13.5 hour shift, and trust me, not everyone sleeps soundly.

I cannot see the point of daylight saving. Just stick to Greeenwich Mean Time. It is simple and unconfusing.

Now we have the 24 hour economy and so many people work shifts, there is nothing to stop individuals adjusting their personal time keeping and just getting up/going to bed to a time table that suits them.

Whether or not we follow suit (as we will probably be out of EU by the time it is implemented) - who knows? Just another little confusion to add to the mountain!
Yes BlueBelle, I have a son in NZ too and we suffer from the same biannual muddle!

I m the opposite I look forward to the changes and particularly love to ‘spring’ forward when I know the worst is over
The only problem for me is my NZ son and family change theirs about two or three weeks before we do and it’s a bit muddly 11, 12, or 13 hours ahead until I get used to it again
