Heterosexual Christians are doing fine, no-one hassles them to be anything else. Non-heterosexual Chrtistians in some communities are not doing so well - they are condemned for their "deviance". Non-heterosexual non-Christians (or non-Muslims etc etc) 'have one less source of pressure on them to conform, but there is still pressure nonetheless.
Non-heterosexuality is at the moment receiving a lot of attention. Fifty years from now the limelight will be off them, they will be accepted everywhere, and people will be wondering what all the fuss in our era was about.
