Nandalot, Corbyn fought a clever campaign and certainly improved in the last few months.

I have said many times I did not agree with no tuition fees and free school dinners, too many promises . If labour had won some promises would be broken and could have ended the Labour Party.

I think there is a need for calm thinking and discussion , not possible here,

On a personal note I am thrilled Welsh labour won back Gower, I worked my socks off there ?

Biggest surprise for me? Labour took Sheffield Hallam, one of the most affluent constituencies in the country, for the first time in its history! Maybe if anyone other than Nick Clegg had defended the seat, the Lib Dems might have hung on to it, but it has an ever increasing student population and I think that must have been a big factor.

I am proud of the young this morning and proud of the Labour Party for giving them hope, not just of free tuition fees but hope for a fairer future for all. My generation had great hope, if it were the only thing I could leave to my children I would die a happy woman.

Clearly a huge hammer blow for the Tories. Labour supporters deserve their period of celebration after the earlier projections of a Tory landslide, but let's not forget that the Tories still managed to get a lot more votes and seats than Labour. What might really put the cat among the pigeons is if (despite what Gerry Adams has just said) Sinn Fein were to take up their seats and support Corbyn. I think that would leave the tories with less than an overall majority even with DUP support? Politically, TM is a dead woman walking, but Tory pundits saying a leadership election now would be like shooting themselves in the other foot have a good point, especially given the likely candidates. I'll bet there are swathes of tories wishing Ruth Davidson could get herself on the ticket! For the UK in general, it feels like the old Chinese curse of "interesting times".

No I am NOT suggesting that at all whitewave she asked me what happened to the slips after they were counted and I said I didn't know, and I still don't. They must be kept for a certain length of time in case there needs to be a recount but what about after that? Simple question, no agenda.

They cross your name off when they give you your voting slip, so they can tell whether you voted but that is surely to prevent people trying to vote twice rather than pin pointing those that didn't.

I think the young people in my family are more capable of critical thinking than you will ever be AB. They looked at what was being said and voted accordingly.

Annie, like you I was very worried about Corbyn as leader of the Labour Party. Not because I didn't agree with him but because I thought he would take us into the wilderness years and mean we were in opposition for years. I also thought he did not have the charisma to take the electorate with him. He's proved me wrong. Forget about Momentum, etc. Which of his policies do you disagree with?
