Niall Ferguson, britains most influential historian opened his speech at the Milken Institute on the future of Europe with stating that he was wrong to vote for remain.
He called us ( brexiters) Anglo-Loonies and Happy Morons. At least he's big enough and honest enough to admit he was wrong.

Niall Ferguson has realisd that we are seeing the slow break-up of the European Union, which Brexit triggered. We will not be the only Country to leave over the coming decade.
I think new alliances will form from Northern Europe to Southern Europe. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the EU built around socialist principles that are losing out in Europe to right wing popularism?

Pity to use the word populism when we really mean fascism or at least a version f it.

I disagree with Fergusan being the most influential historian. He is well known, but for a particular ideological standpoint. So influential if you agree with his views, but anathema if you don't.

That's one of the flaws of experts.....they all disagree with each other.

Actually thinking about the vote last night, not sure it is too worrying. It simply recognises the referendum majority to leave, which everyone accepts. Except of course if it was the other way around and the right wing would be screaming blue murder about tiny majorities etc.

Getting back to the vote, I think this really accepts the government timetable - which to my mind is daft - I agree with Ben Bradshaw argument on this, but that is ALL is accepts. The 48% will still be represent ed I trust when the debates about what we want the UK to look like after Brexit.
