POGS, as a member of the party for fifty years I am quite aware of the problems between unions/grassroots /activists . Labour depends on unions for money as Tory party depends on big business and off shore account holders

I appreciate you are Labour with all your heart and soul but if you ask a question it will naturally be answered.

I find it all so odd, Corbyn has been on the far left all his career, it was just accepted. I heard his speeches at miners rallies, not the same man, this hiding away, being protected by aids, having a spokesman - MacDonald, bringing the party to it's knees , it just doesn't fit for me
Well, like him or not, I hope he has not been threatened.

Left Tories, right labour, libdems? Could be called middle of the roaders. Can't deciders? Fencesitter party? Norealpolicy Party?
I think the term is Floating Voters

Quite a well-known phenomenon; in fact their beliefs may not change that much, but the parties they vote for do.

In fact, the ones who have the nous to change government.

And not to be scoffed at.
Better than belonging to Momentum or UKIP.

Jalima, not all eho stay with the same party lack common sense or intelligence. Many floating voters decide after asking what's in it for me , I agree sensible but many who stay with a party asks what's in it for the vulnerable

Corbin has released a video on Twitter. He claims thousands more have joined the party this week, they want him to lead and the party to work together

How does be know what the sixty thousand who joined this week want? Have they joined through momentum?

I think he's been kidnapped!like the Hugh Walpole story of the old chap kidnapped in his own house by the mummers. It all started so well and ended in tragedy. Seriously, I think there is something very odd/sinister going on here, and for the sake of the party and JC himself I hope it gets sorted pdq. Much as I would never vote for JC, I would never want to see him in what looks like a frightening situation.,

It is odd niggly. No sense in that video at all. The poor man has been under such strain , I wish he would walk away. If he launches an attack on his own party in the house on Wednesday the Labour Party is finished I fear

So, in essence, you are stating that most floating voters are selfish people who only vote according to what's in it for me.

I did not say that at all, but if you wish to interpret it like that, that is up to you.

Personally (and I am sure many others) think 'what is best for the country as a whole, bearing in mind that we need a sound economy, jobs and a good welfare system to protect the vulnerable and look after the sick.
When a government goes too far in reform one way or the other, I know people who think 'Whoa, no, I will vote for the opposition next time to bring a bit of balance back'.

If neither appeals then the Lib Dems are a good balance.
At the moment most of it is a load of old bollocks chaos and I have no idea what I would do if there was to be an election shortly.

ab, I wouldn't be so pessimistic. There are a lot of good Labour MPs - maybe none who want to step up to leadership in the current climate - but I don't think they're going anywhere. It might not be the Labour Party you would want, but I think there are enough of them to form a more effect team than they've got at the moment.

Labour needs to be in power to do anything, so they're going to have to come up with a plan for the future and think carefully how they're going to deal with the SNP.

I realised the other day that I don't really know much about Corbyn's policies apart from his stance on war.
