House prices set to rise by 20%.

It is a crazy situation and I feel so sorry for younger people who will probably never be able to afford even a modest flat and will have the insecurity and expense of renting for most or all of their lives.

I also could not afford to move like for like from London unless it were to the north of England or the wilds of Scotland.

I do remember house hunting all of those years ago and coming to the conclusion that we could probably only afford a canal boat. Luckily it did not come to that.

I can see generations living together as they did all of those years ago and few houses can accommodate them comfortably.
